Anyone get much boating in the Summer?

Haven't heard anyone mentioning any boating activities this Summer. Just wondering if anyone got a chance to get out on the water.

Got out probably a dozen times this summer - a blend of Lake Michigan, Pewaukee, some nights tooling around the Milwaukee River (downtown), and a few trips to Dairyland Flowage.

Sailing season is still on, but I had to haul my sailboat out because I'm having to work inTulsa for a few weeks.

There are lots of amazing boating places around here to enjoy... Makes me want a boat. Emigrant Lake, Lake of the Woods, Upper Klamath Lake, Applegate Reservoir, Diamond Lake, Lost Creek Lake... I think it would be amazing to boat in Crater Lake, which is also very close.

    I'm sure you didn't . . .

I went fishing 5 times this year, but I doubt that counts as boating. We go on a little 50 acre lake that doesn't allow gas motors, in our little 1950's aluminum boat with a trolling motor that I inherited from my grandpa. Usually we're fishing for blue gills, I know where the honey hole is on that lake, and we usually catch around 20 of them, enough to fry up for dinner. I've caught some huge catfish out of there as well, a couple of decent small mouth bass, but I usually don't go fishing for bass out there. Its so quiet and peaceful out on that little lake, only once did we see anybody else out there fishing.

I didn't know people actually ate blue gills. I've caught many of them but always threw them back. Not much of a lake or river fisherman, but had some great days sea fishing.
