The color on the '03 Anniversary Edition has pop, the shale interior differentiates it from the bulk of the other C5s out there. Here's the Vette from the stable:

However, with room for 4, AWD, and the newness factor going on, the CTS is getting far more seat time than the C5 these days.

Beautiful photos of a great pair of cars and a wonderful part of the country!

69 was a great year for Vette styling, still having the chrome bumperettes!

As far as looks go, I still like the 1957 Corvette the best.

Unfortunately, they were a pile of shivering, rattling fiberglass ..... but cool when just sitting there!

Either a 2 top 58 Fuelie or I'd settle for a 67 coupe 427 automatic with air like I had back in the day.
Regrettably sold em both when I was young and dumb.
Had to support a family some how in those days.

Of the early ones my favorites were 58-59 with the quad lights.

I wanted a '57, dual quad, 4spd with posi for my first car sooooo bad. I looked at and drove several, but being 16 my Dad suggested (strongly) that I buy a new car instead of an old chevy. I love this car Black with Red and Red Coves.

My Dad was in the service in 1973. He was in Fort Riley Kansas, and was trying his darndest to to by a 1957 Vette for $2500 (about $13K in today's money). He just could not afford the payments. I point out to him as often as I can that the same car would be worth a middle value of about 65K right now. Oh well, My Dad probably would have put a tape deck and Keystone Classics on it so he could listen to his "Big Chill" soundtrack tape with the sun beating down on his wayfarer sun glasses.
