I'm not kidding, it was on Garfield Rd. heading east toward the 5 on-ramp. I had to double take. I would have gotten a picture if I weren't headed at 35mph in the opposite direction.

Re: If you had to choose a Vette?

Getting back on the topic of Vettes, for pretty color combos, I always loved the 2003 50th Anniversary cars. That burgandy paint job with a ton of brownish/goldish metal flake was just beautiful. Combine the paint job with wheels and interior that matched the metal flake in the paint, man they hit a home run.

Some other fun Corvette colors are Silver on red, Dark grey on red, Black on red, White on red, Fire engine Red on Red, and Nassau Blue on white. Nassau Blue is perhaps my favorite Vette color, you could get it on the C2 or C5 Vette, it looked like that sort of light blue, almost turqouis water you see in the Gulf of Mexico, Bahamas, or the Caribbean.

White, to me, is a bland color, but it's amazing on a Corvette, especially with the red interior.

White is a great sports car color. It looks amazing on your Countach, Diablo, Tesserosa, 360 Modena, C7 Vette, Aventedor, hell it looks amazing on your 4th gen Camaro SS or Trans Am WS6 with red or black leather. Cars with lots of complex curves and sharp lines look great in white, it really shows off the lines and curves.

Cars that are boxy, upright, and more formal look better in darker colors. This includes a lot of older model Cadillacs, the dark paint just pops with the chrome trim and bumpers.

Someone had also done a CTS-V in white and it looked good.

White just works on certain cars if done correctly. The C7 is no exception.

Funny, as much as I love old cars I would take a new vette.

Depends on how much I'd be driving it. For something to tool around in MAYBE once every week when the weather is nice, give me a C2 ragtop any day of the week. If you're actually going to put miles on it, the newer the Vette the better IMO.

Bullcrap. Unicorns went extinct back in the 1700's. They were hunted to extinction when contract sailors learned that their horns made excellent tools for spearfishing for mermaids.

Now esquilax on the other hand...

So let me get this straight, if the car is not old and not capable to carry dead people you don't like?

The New Vette is an awesome car for the $$$. I don't care much for the vents and the rear but the rest of the car makes up for that.

Have you seen one in person Mr. Dull?

I have a 93 Ruby Red that is wonderful. No, its not practical, no its not easy to get into, no it doesn't get gas mileage but its mine and during the PNW summer months the Caddy will sit inside.

Re: If you had to choose a Vette?

From 1953 to the newest 2014 "Stingray" C7, ALL Vettes have their merits - for me, the C5 works, as it has enough modern saftey features, and an affordabilty factor now that they're old enough to be reasonably priced.

The color on the '03 Anniversary Edition has pop, the shale interior differentiates it from the bulk of the other C5s out there. Here's the Vette from the stable:

However, with room for 4, AWD, and the newness factor going on, the CTS is getting far more seat time than the C5 these days.

My 69 is such a scary Carnival ride that I have every reason to believe it might wake one of Mr. Dulls silent passengers.

The outrageous design of the 69 Vette keeps my attention, but it's a fright pig to drive. If it ever gets away from me a C7 would be the perfect genuine GM replacement part.
