    Hello all, any tips?

Hello everybody, last weekend my wife an I became proud new owners of a 99' Deville w/80k miles from the original family that purchased it. Any tips/tricks given to maintain and watch for would be HIGHLY appreciated as this is our 1st Cadillac. I've seen a mix of horror stories along with success with this year and model. Took it out on a road trip today and it did great, couple things I knew of that I need to work on, the A/C has a leak (which is how I found this wonderful site as I found reference on how to reset the code so as allow me to charge the A/C with leak detector) the cruise control doesn't work and I'd like to replace the stereo in it as the cass doesn't work and it seems like radio stations just don't stay in tune anymore these days like they used too. All and all this seems to be a great car so far, no leaks (outside of A/C) no shakes or funny noises and has 4 new tires only a couple months old. I look forward to being a member of this site, although I'll probably be asking more questions than I can answer lol till I learn more about these awesome pieces of finely tuned machinery.

Change the coolant if you don't know when it was last done and do so every 2-3 years regardless of what the owners manual says. Do not use the sealant tabs aka cooling system supplement. They just tend to clog purge lines and heater cores.
