    They ACTUALLY converted these?

I never would have guessed that a coachbuilder would have taken these miserable little cars, and gone through the trouble to do this:

Bet the guy who made that decision spent the rest of his life greeting customers at Walmart!

LOL! Someone get Bro-ham. He doesn't have to be "busy that day" he wanted to make one. He can just buy one.

Btw, this isn't the worst I've seen. Once on ebay I saw a 1988 century convertible. 2 things struck me....who would pay a caddy brougham price for for a century convertible? And since when could you get real leather interior in a century?

Hey, The Aries K car convertible could be had with "super luxurious" Marc Cross leather seating! And it was a factory convertible. Of course it was probably one of Jesda's favorite "Town and Country" convertibles .... Tres Chic!

Maybe he thought owning a Chrysler was a preview of purgatory! There are those that think owning a Jaguar is purgatory.

    Re: They ACTUALLY converted these?

Actually, back in the day, those Chrysler Town & County convertibles were considered kind of cool by some. You used to see a lot of then in the Wilshire corridor and in suburban parking lots. Those K car derived convertibles were the only "really" affordable convertibles. Even the Mustangs and Camaros were pricey in comparison and didn't have the "luxury" upholstery..

After I looked through the pictures of the Cimarron, the first thing that came to my mind was: "Well, at least it's better looking than a Chrysler "woody" convertible".

Has anyone noticed something wrong with the speedometer? I laughed pretty hard.

Ah yes. That's a better explanation.
