The mundane body design of the Tesla put me off from want ed the adventure of owning one of the first electric cars. I would want to see much more adventurous styling before I'd fork over a premium price for an unconventional car requiring extra effort for its driving and maintenance. Like the idea but don't like the run of the mill styling!

There is a Tesla dealership 5 minutes from my house in Columbus. I guess it's the norm to see them every day.

The run of the mill styling is what would sell me on a Tesla. I don't really want a car that stands out. I want a car that blends in.

It's no accident that car manufacturers are making all these cars look the same. There is a very specific style of automobile that the vast majority of consumers wants to buy.

I've heard or seen that before .... too many times! It's funny how cars like the Thunderbirds, Toronados, Eldorados all departed from the norm in styling and configuration, and cars like the Mercedes 450SE and the Jaguar XJ6 (and the 3.8S sedan before it) took market share away from the "norm" for American sedans of their day.

But if you think that is a valid excuse for the monotony of shape, feature and embellishment of today's American car marketplace, I guess it must be true!
