I know several men that wife is major bread winner. They have jobs either full or part time and stay home with kid(s).
Personally I don't care who brings home the bacon(thick sliced please). It was a stigma yrs ago for the man Not to be the bread winner but if it's about who works the hardest I bet a lot of men would run back to work after a couple weeks. I'm not saying some men don't work very hard at their jobs but every situation is different.
If my wife had a 6 figure job you wouldn't find a happier dude.

She can bring whatever she wants, as long as she takes it to the kitchen and makes me my dinner....

Liberal left media stuff. There are more single mothers then ever, and this constitutes a family. I work with most of the top drug companies in the states, they prefer to hire 1. Minorities, 2.Women. Men seriously need not apply. Been this way for twenty years.

Also, women make up an increasing percentage of college students, esp in the math and science related fields, and in professional programs. Men still tend to dominate in the business and financial sectors, which are far more lucrative but involve more financial risk and so can have volatile incomes.
There's not really as much pay inequality as surface figures suggest when one considers all job factors. Look at the careers chosen, required working & on-call hours, travel, family leave, etc. The topic rarely gets analysis that includes all the factors that may enter into pay disparity, especially if a work record has gaps for personal priorities.

I make twice what my wife does. But even if it were the other way around, who cares. In come is income. It all gets distributed a certain way in the household with certain bills and other luxuries such as vacations and going out to eat etc.
