Well the rad is covered but I still need to buy the tech a case of beer to do it. And the $100 I spent on the tow isn't covered either.

Yeah, the famous "Good Wrench" warranty only covers the part not the labor to correct the problem caused by the defect part. Seems like a rather poor substitute for a "real" work warrantee. GM always looking out for you.

Re: Broke down on my way back home...

Well the radiator was from 1-800-RADIATOR ... more than half the cost of the one from GM (even at my employee discount)

they would cover the labor (and so would the GM parts warranty) IF i had the part installed here

technically i had it installed in the parking lot here and it was not 'on the books' so there's no RO paperwork to file a labor warranty against

oh well... i'm getting it cheap enough already

Re: Broke down on my way back home...

I had the air conditioning compressor replaced twice at Moore Cadillac. Both times the compressor was covered but the labor was not covered under the "Good Wrench" warranty. Are you telling me the dealer cheated me by charging me for labor inspite of the parts being purchased and labor performed at Moore Cadillac?

I bought mine from Amazon! Amazon carries Delphi radiators for our cars, which is exactly the same factory part.

Re: Broke down on my way back home...

It was not the plastic ... leaked from a seam in the core right in front of the water pump spraying at the belt slinging it around and dripping down from under the pump

couldn't tell until we put it up in the air under pressure

    ...

how much does amazon charge for the delphi/oem radiator?

i only paid $107 for this one originally back in march

Re: Broke down on my way back home...

I am now on my third radiator from O'Reilly Auto. I only paid for the first one, but then there is my labor to remove and install.
On the plus side, I'm getting pretty good at it. It's not a good sign when you can gather all the tools you will need before even starting.

You will be ready for the radiator "pit crew" soon if you get your time down a little!
