Welcome and a cadillac dragster? Wow. My old school racing friends preferred the cadillac braking systems as well as the rear ends. Obviously, big block chevys are preferred because the parts and broad array of set ups. Good luck with the dragster..

Our best drivers are Schumacher, Force, Garlits, Hard to say, but I think Indianapolis Raceway Park is a great place to see the best of the best..

It is nice to see a non-Chevy, alternative GM.
Is that motor ready to run or you workin' it further? I would definitely get rid of the stock rocker setup, if you didn't already.

What's with the Olds flywheel on the floor?

The engine came with a th400 from an olds including flexplate.

The oil pan just needs repairing and going to run it stock to get the thing on the track. Then see what happens after that

Not tryin' to falsely alarm you, but this is the reason why Don Garlits designed the rear engine dragster:

Although, the rear engine ended up taking him for a wild ride, too:

    That was the 1st one.
I was there at Englishtown for the 2nd one. I think it was '86. He didn't get hurt but it was quite a show.

I may be wrong but I think Garlitts was using a clutch. I'm using a Powerglide with a lot less power. My feet are a lot further back due to using a full length powerglide
