03 deville. Seen most at 4500 or so. A few at 2800 with NO issues. Some dealers even have them at 8k or so? Found one with 120k miles, good body but bad heads. Seller is asking 2200. I can fix it but if I do the math, 2200 plus good heads equals 4500 final value? but than joe blow sells a "good" one for 2800? Am trying to find a fixer upper but rarely see 04 and newer with big issues so prices are high.

No one is gonna be knockin' his door down for that car at 2200. $1200-$1500

    Re: Value of car

something to keep in mind -

there were 3 models in the Deville lineup from 2000 to 2005 -

the DHS and DTS models had a window sticker
of $10,000 more than the base model -

location makes a difference - around here -
you won't find a clean DHS with less than 100K for $4500 -
MAYBE an OK condition base Deville - but I even doubt that -

    Make that $5000.

    2003 prices
    Base Deville MSRP $42,950
    DHS & DTS MSRP $47,880

    Re: Value of car

Value of anything is only as much as a buyer will pay for it. What will someone pay for a big 10-year-old car.

Go ready everything I have ever posted about price on a car with a blown motor
    Headgasket issue.

    ----------

I said that for buying one with a bad headgasket now if he already owned one than yeah put the money and fix it but what to pay for one that's bad ? Iv always said no more than 1500

Personally to me. One with a blow hg
I would never pay more than scrap unless I really need parts

I was referring to the fact that we actually agreed on pricing.

I see Ranger's point, too. If he was commenting on the fact that those prices were already mentioned.

lol naw i actualy saw the SLS about a month ago i had to let MC know that i saw it figured he would get a kick out of that
but i knew it was mine cause of the hood paint chipping and also the drivers rear seat cover was missing and i could tell from a few other things also
it with some black dude in Miami

the ES is going good iv put about 11k on it since Feb 1st and all i have done is 2 oil changes the Passanger front cv joint was leaking so Lexus Replace the Axle under warranty
i put some new tires on it about 6k ago i just change the Coolant and had the breaks system flushed out replace front and rear break pads

but other then just regular maitnance and that one problem with the cv axle boot all is going really good

i think in about 2 or 3 years when its time for a replacment i figure ill keep the ES for 3 years then i think im going to pick a GS i think they are preatty cool also

TP, you must be getting at least a little bored not having to fix something every month. Any urges to whack something with a claw hammer, pour water on the dash, or put some sand into the transmission? Just for old times sake?
