    1989 Cadillac Sedan Deville - Gabriel G

Hello Cadillac enthusiasts I'm Gabriel G and I have a 1989 Cadillac Sedan deville that I inherited from my mother after she passed away and right now my car is having a transmission oil leak and I'm a very broke individual and I was thinking on trying to find the leak myself but have no car experience, I've changed regular oil out of a car before but not the transmission fluid so is there any instructional hints anybody can give me to point me in the right direction of what I can do to change out the fluid or what to look for when checking the transmission fluid?

Wrong forum to post diagnostic/repair/maintenance related threads. A mod will move this for you.

Don't bother changing the fluid until you find and repair the leak. I'd look at the trans cooler lines first (they run between the radiator side tank, and the transmission)

    BTW,

I'd look at the transmission lines where they go to the radiator.
