We're a min play and everybody bats rec league. We had a meeting and parents were tired of the crap, want kids to have fun and play.
We are a very young and inexperienced team. We have 1 player who has ever pitched, all our other pitchers are 1st timers literally. I let every kid try and if they showed any potential hey look you're a pitcher now.
I don't get to pick my players for the most part. A few try out and 4 teams draft, then it's blind picks. We play against a kid in the top 100 at his age in the country. We struck him out once and he ain't gone long ball yet and as good as this kid is I'm happy with that.

Well my problem parent showed tonight and kept his attitude to himself. I went out of my way to be nice and talked to him, I could tell he was not happy with me but no incidents. Asked if he would sign complaint about umpires even and he turned me down, he can't say i didn't ask... Maybe he has learned where the line is. I hope so cause I want to have fun too. Team played well but lost to an awesome pitcher whose control was a lot better than usual, they made 2 less mistakes than we did and won. Rained almost the whole game lightly which totally stunk for our pitchers as they have never had to deal with rain.
