^^^ Some blame it on Koz's proximity to Magnetic North, others to his house's poor ventilation, but either way a trip of 750 miles to get gipped seems a bit more than masochism. You know, Koz, we'd still like to see you around even if you didn't own a Cadillac!

Thank you to all those who understand our problem here in the UK with Cadillac and for letting us know about similar issues in the USA with European cars. I really like my CTS but I'm going back to Saab (I have had 3 in the past), which still has a wide franchise and selection of recent models available. Goodbye Cadillac Forum.

That might be a high-risk choice right now.

    Good luck!

    Re: UK Service and Repair

I'd notice the Cadillac signs had disappeared from outside the Vauxhall dealers so we're back where we were, not so long ago, when it's Bauer Millet in Manchester or no-one!

Grangeme - as you're in Kent (just down the road from me, in SE London) try Castle Autos (01474 335151 or info@castleautos.co.uk) who are now, I think, in Gravesend (or you could try my old friend Doug Forrest, who trades as Classic Car Craft, in Ramsgate - although he's really a classic Chevy man).

If it's too late a model for their tastes you might have to schlep up to "OCW" in Perivale (02088104595 or ocwparts@aol.com) where Neil, who's a Caddy enthusiast & specialist, WILL look after you /your car.

A few words of general advice for all UK owners, join your local (or one of the national) "yanks" clubs &/or the Owners Club for help/local knowledge.

I am sorry to hear you are forced to give up on Cadillac, I read a lot recently in Automotive News that Cadillac has had a shake-up in their European marketing. Hopefully the new people can straighten out some of the issues the past people failed to address. No sense finally making a world-class product, if you can't maintain world-wide sales and service.
Perchance at some point in the future you will be able to try them again with more confidence.

We also could trade vehicles, my Volvo for your Cadillac. I have a dealer who is 2 miles from my house, but the service is terrible, and hugely expensive. I love the car, and would buy one again, except for the dealer experience, so....I feel your pain!

    Re: UK Service and Repair

Anyone notice that this thread had been dead for 11 months and the spammer moved it to the top ???

I doubt that talismandave or Paul London will get a reply, either.

As always, folks - be very careful of what/who/whose links you open - you just might get far, far more than you bargained for.
