Went back to FL. Talked about seat design with T-roy, saw Tracer's new corvette, Miami beach, the Mango's dancers, and made fenders for the chopper.

    DAMN DUDE.

You do exceptional, excellent work. I'm excited to see this chopper in full, running form!

The more and more I see custom bikes and what can be done with them, the more I like 'em.

    Keep it up! Looking good!!

Re: Axe's 300 Gripper chopper build

need to start picking paint schemes so i'm not scratching my head when the metal's done (sheet metal, not heavy metal which never dies!).

I'm close to convinced on a chrome frame for this one. everything chrome or polished, despite everyone's making blacked out ones, but i may consider a black frame. thoughts?

paint will be either the hot candy apple red or cool candy teal base. I'll be painting realistic fire (vs. pinstriped flames) with either hot sunset pearl and lambo yellow highlights or cool limetime pearl with lime gold candy highlights. I'm contemplating a clothing impaired hottie straddling an Axe on the lower part of the gas tank as well, maybe her tail on the tail of the bike too.

Flamework will be like the anarchist bike at Anarchist). i dig both schemes, so in the end will probably do whatever the whim is the day i order paint, but curious if anyone had strong opinions either way? thanks!

Well, you got a black bike with a red babe, so I think the cool paint scheme (pun intended ) would look good. Chrome frame would be SICK!

that's definitely a consideration. with one black/red accent/orange flame bike, would make more sense to go cool this time with the chrome (still haven't checked what chroming that frame will cost). I've built two bikes that had candy apple red too. guess like any decision, do i stick with what i know i like, or try something new?

TP121" engine came in and fits in the frame. fat katz gas tank came in too and looks great on it. getting some fender work done as well, and the .44 mag came back from S&W, which is critical to bike building of course. Starting to look like a motorcycle now!!

Got the handlebars in, tried them, fit well. Took everything apart, welded the mounts for the oil and gas tanks.

Thanks Luke. Stoneage, you may enjoy the Anarchist pics at http://www.ychrome.com/anarchist.html. It started as an 883 as well. Now it's got 1200 buell lightning engine parts, nighttrain wheels and front end, and my special touch on air cleaner, seat, metal, exhaust, paint.
