^Someplace in New York, I have a 22 year old nephew like you.

Personally, I prefer to have one pair of shoes at a time. My current boots are getting ready to retire and be sacrificed in the creation of my next set.

1 pr of redwing engineer boots for work, new balance running shoes for gym, flip flops with bottle opener on bottom for pool, and an old pair of lace up redwings for tactical rifle/pistol events.

......... after that damn wind storm 2 weeks ago I think I'm in the chainsaw chain collection business - somehow the local populace has found out that I have a chain sharpener. (It pays for bourbon...................)

There are no plans of ceasing this obsessive sneaker disorder, even as retail prices creep higher & higher.

But the thrill of the chase & inevitable capture, the appreciation of the craftsmanship, innovation, & creativity put into each individual design, bragging rights of what one owns and contrarily the envy of what one wishes could be added is what fuels my passion.
You are only the second person I heard of to collect them. The first being the guy on Pawn Stars. I never heard of it before that. All the things you list sound the same as with all collections. I could substitute watch for sneaker and you just told my story!
Welcome to the Cadillac Forum and look forward to hearing more from you!

    Re: What do you collect?

    yeah i bet it does...

btw, sorry for kind of hijacking your thread in the feedback forum ... i tried contacting the admin a few different ways before resorting to thread jacking ... i was at the end of the rope
and funny thing is that's where they responded
Sal hasn't responded to any of the emails i've sent him and the new site owners haven't responded via email to the 'contact us' message that I sent

anyways, sorry about that - i'm sure you understand

    Re: What do you collect?

Great album. I miss the seventies. Disco was very good to me....
Especially a couple of local Motels that would have DJs or bands. Business women were very kind and while all my friends wasted their money buying beer for college girls in dirty pubs, I was having Tanquery tini's bought for me by lovely middle aged women. All for a kind word, a little attention and a dance.

The next day they were gone to their next town.
As my one buddy says. "The beauty of married women....They didn't swell, and they didn't tell."
    Oh great album too!
    MrHolland and MrHolland like this.

Although I have more jazz vinyl, I do have some other non-jazz titles that are favorites too. The cover for the Houston Person Jazz LP was just too sexy not to include.
