As long as we're into Jaguars (jag-you-wahr), here's a pic of a 1957 XK140mc - same color combo and wheels as mine was. High school graduation present.

A V-12 E-Type with 4 straight pipes was truly awesome for the music it made.

Sorry, Sub, but that is a 1958 Jag-you-arr XK 150 roadster (standard, not S) not a XK 140 MC. Very nice car, I owned a 1958 XK 150 drophead (convertible). The XK 150 roadster began production in 1958 and was not available in 1957.

The V-12 that Jaguar put in its' cars did make lovely "music" when it was popping on all 12 cylinders! The engine was not very reliable and was often silent!

Better yet, the outboard axles are driven by the driveshafts from the engine, and the inboard axles are powered by the siderods from the outboards. In essence, it's an all-wheel-drive train. AND you can still sand down the rails if things get slick.

I know that guy. He let me drive the car over for tech inspection at the Texas Mile last March so I could see what I had to do to Elwood for a 190MPH pass.

He was there racing the wife's Corvette and she's a professional photographer.

I've had 3 Meyers Manx, if you were in So Cal I'd be all over that since my neighbor with a bit of coaxing would give me his 1967 Beatle with a dual port 1835 in it. I like that hard top.

Bruce Meyers lives out here, him and George Barris are my heroes.
