So Matt inherited his style from his long-lost uncle Dave? Makes sense.

Is that what the kids are calling it these days?

Cripes, what type of car do us displaced mountain immigrant kids like me represent with our style? Something awesome, obviously.

I wouldn't know, Kid. Never worn a skirt. A Skirt, as I recall, is a hemmed lower portion of a fabric article that hangs as the bottom edge of whatever textile manifestation we are discussing. Curtains have skirts. Pants have skirts at each leg. An untucked T-Shirt has a skirt too, I suppose.

There was a History Channel special on that. It seems Scottish men couldn't master the skills to consistently put the correct leg in each side of trousers. The skirt was the final solution. You don't even want to hear about the other things they tried.

Naturally they had the same problem with boxers and briefs so switched to wearing slips under the skirts. Unfortunately, they got confused over which went on first, so the under slip had to go.

Word of advise: while skirt is the proper term, after being teased about it unmercifully, they made up a new name: KILT, which is actually an acronym that is their most closely guarded secret. Of course most completely deny the fact.

Still thinking for the money, I'd rather just get the marauder...and then ruin any conductibility it ever may have had, due to my intentions for the car. My only real motivation for purchasing a P71 is that a good enough portion of them still have the partition separating the rear seats from the front. However, I have also found suppliers of the parts for that and could just put them into the Marauder. Marauder or P71, I will not purchase it if it is not black. Also, if I get a Marauder, I would be replacing the rear bumper with a Grand Marquis/Crown Victoria bumper, as I would not want the imprinted ""MARAUDER" bumper. That looks nice enough on Mustangs, but in my opinion, it looks terrible on the Marauders.

I could never imagine using it as a daily driver though. Too small, I would probably develop claustrophobia.

Again, I am perfectly capable of borrowing them from everyone (as I do now, since basically everyone I've ever met in Florida owns a P71) but for my purposes, I would have to modify it for a separate purpose, so I cannot merely "borrow" one.

One friend of mine owns three interceptors. Two P71 beaters (As in, cars that will never have money invested in them aside from oil and fuel) and her daily driver, which is a '72 Torino interceptor.

    ----------

Mine needs a pushbar, the A-Pillar lamps, spotlights in the pushbar, grille lights, a lightbar on the roof and the partition to separate the front and rear seats. This is the only reason I would settle for a P71, as if I get the Marauder, I will have to purchase most of this separately.

Alternatively though, Florida (Like Nevada and Pennsylvania) issues Marauders as interceptors to the state troopers. I wonder how easily I could find a retired Marauder interceptor. Would definitely save me some time and I highly doubt they could reasonably ask more then $4,500 for one, seeing as the average price of a well-maintained Marauder (In Florida, at least) is around $6k-$7k

On occasion though, you get crackheads like this:

    http://orlando.craigslist.org/cto/3959813307.html

I do not mind paying $13k for a car, mind you (Considering my collection, I have paid well more than that many times) but not for something as simple as this when the rest of the world is only asking half what he is.

Regardless though, I will not be purchasing such a car right this moment, as though I have room to park it, I am not willing to dedicate any of my parking spots for it. If I end up getting another car just yet, it will be something far better than a new beater.
See you keep saying $2000 and all i see is $3500+.... Lets see some links then i'll believe you haha.

You're looking at cl ads. I would never buy one third hand. Buy it second hand at the auctions.

So this is what Matt was telling me about? Sub's kilt? I KNOW Sub has a kilt. He's a badass in every other way. May as well be in that way too.

Matt wants a kilt. I will have to supply him knew.
