I didn't say that, because quite simply, it was obviously a more modern car. I do not believe any company still makes a car that does not meet the mass requirements to fit in the trunk of a Cadillac. There are two-or-three personal vehicles on the market today that would be a tight fit or not fit at all, but those are large trucks.

Thread title........... Derelicts ..............Down near the crossroads in Stevensville there's a huge old oak tree. 24/7/365 there's an old guy with the nickname of "Wahoo !" who sits at the base and slugs Ripple from a quart jar.

Ever since this thread started I have been looking for said resident of Madison! But true to form, when they could be useful they are not to be found.

If you went to the fountain between the Memorial Library and Historical Society around 11:30 on a Monday night you would find a lot of "pre-derelicts!" Same could be said about a walk down Langdon Street on a Saturday night!

If Herbie saw that I reckon he'd race for the hills, tailpipe between his rear tires.

    Re: Derelicts In Your Area

I've seen this before. Nah, Herbie is too busy getting run off the highway by some phantom Hearse in central FL.

Actually, it's sad, I have never encountered an opportunity to pass this car in m,y friend's red '58 Plymouth...and dear Jeebus, would I love to.

The owner of this bug is actually a local who, like clockwork, can be seen cruising down rural Highway 27 ever Saturday at about 3:00 PM with his VW bus following shortly behind. He goes to the weekly classic show too (As does another Herbie and a lot of other VW beetles) so I have seen it plenty of times (Though this photo bay be the first time he has ever seen my Cadillac)

Funny little cars. I have seen two of them with Cadillac 500s in them.

    Re: Derelicts In Your Area

I told you guys I'd dredge this thread back to the surface when I found more. Well, I found another.

It says "Fire On Ice" on the back left door, and yes, that IS shag carpeting on the dash. I found this vanload of awesomeness at my younger brother's place of employ tonight. I didn't know they made Corvair vans.

EDIT: Oops, it's a de-badged Ford Econoline. Haha!

Looks like someone's hiding it from the police .... best place to hide it, right out in the open! Probably used in some serial killer crime long unsolved! Who would ever think of an old Corvair panel truck as a piece of evidence?

Even if it was, I'd still drive the wheels off of it.
