What does the wind blow it around, my neighbor car would when windy. He always left in neutral no ebrake, funny when it rolled into his garage door.

It prowls the streets at night, in search of food.

There is a fellow I have been seeing the last few times I made it out to our local show with one of these.

In...entirely different condition. They always looked funny to me, with the one headlamp in each hollow.

    Re: Derelicts In Your Area

These don't really count, but I figured they were at least old enough. Tuesday, when I went to the bank, I decided to take a new route. BEST IDEA EVER. Stumbled upon these beaus:

The black one, as many of you could probably guess, is a '70 Eldorado.

500 cubic inches of awesome. The tires were flat, as you can see, but it otherwise looked in serviceable condition, and not far from roadworthiness.

The next, as best I can tell, is a '57 Sedan, and I would venture to guess a Series 62.

This appeared in the process of restoration (I hope). It was gorgeous. Paint looked brand new, and the interior was almost complete, and stunning. Unfortunately its tires were needing air, though not flat.

Funny thing about those 67-70 Eldorados. They always pop up in pairs.

I like the '70 ones for the engine. I dislike their lack of folding headlamps.

^^^ Actually the 1957 Cadillac is a Fleetwood (you can tell by the embellishment panel on the lower rear quarter, by the large "backup" lights on the trunk lid and by its' longer wheelbase. That salmon pink was a popular color in
'57 .... as were other pastel colors.

Nice pair to find on your way to the bank!

That is a whole lot of gorgeous Cadillac. I think they need a new home Luke!

I agree on the fold away headlights, Pure Sex!

I agree with those that like the covered headlights. My favorite was the 1967 rendition. It always seems the first year of a particular model is the best and purist design. Same goes for the first two years of the Toronado, before they stuck that obnoxious grill/bumper on the front of the "68.

This is certainly true of Jaguars; the Series I cars of a certain series (E-type and XJ6, etc.) are by far the best of their breed.

My Lincoln had the fold-up covers for the headlamps. If all the time I owned it, I never got to watch them work. They worked fine, mind you, it is just impossible to see them from the driver's seat and I never happened to be present at any point in time I had someone else use the car and activate them.

I agree. I love the 77 RWD caddys (especially in coupe form) and feel (at least from my experience with them) that the fit and finish and quality is higher than the years that followed (78 and 79 were pretty good, but IIRC, 77 had year specific interior door panels which looked nicer).

Drove by a junkyard in the hood. Among all the cars against the fence was a car that looked like a 67 or so riviera but it had 4 fixed headlamps in chrome bezels that protruded a little from the body and the outside of the bezels stuck out further than the inside and the grille was pointed (so the front end was a very slight W shape). I have no idea what kind of car it was, but man it was cool looking (and fairly ratty- the turd brown paint/ white top didn't help any)

    Re: Derelicts In Your Area

Neighbor up about 10 houses from me has my exact truck, only a 1980's model. Its a Toyota 2wd/reg cab/short box, but man its straight as hell with no rust. Painted flat primer black like mine for some reason. I've never seen it move, but I guess it has current tags since our homeowner's association are total nazis about having non-tagged cars on your property. He also has some sort of motorcycle under his carport, but its always under a grey tarp/car cover.
