Not to keep the Punk vibe going, this just became our theme for delivering food to several Churches today.

The upbeat melody fit pretty well. Besides, since we're trying to see the future and realizing we are in fact, rapidly on our "way out" it's good to do some good beforehand.

Still think I beat it by last year's events. Nothing quite like driving up to a Cathedral on a cloudy day, going right over the curb, driving down the entire walkway and right up to the doors, in a Hearse, blaring Black Metal as loud as you can and stepping out, being welcomed and beckoned in by a handful of Nuns.

Great group. One of the concerts I went to was them in 78 when they had the huge flying saucer stage! Scheduling our days off with co-workers and had to choose between them and Boz Scaggs. Still regret that I had to choose. I loved them both.

Boz was big in the local music scene when he and Steve Miller were together yet and attending UW.

Well played my friend....I had completely forgotten the Ray Conniff Singers when I loaded my playlist. Not something I was ever a big fan, but really is so indicative of the period. Must for the Cadillac cruising playlist. Brings to mind many classic old movies where they were often featured.

    Now for a pallet cleanser....

Oh my God! Ray Coniff and his singers ..... does that ever bring back memories! My roomate in prep school (circa 1962) loved Ray Coniff and would play his recordings ad nauseum. To this day if I hear a Coniff "Bow wop" I have to hold my ears!

Well! As long as we're on the topic - this one goes good when you're detailing that Damson Plum Firemist '77 Coupe De Ville!

Being an organ player myself, here's one of the most famous organ solos, done by the Grand Master, himself, Mr. Henry Mancini, at the console. The instrument used is none other than the mighty Hammond RT-3 concert organ, big brother to the famous B-3!

Just the ticket for cruising the Boulevard in that fancy new '63 Biarritz. It has a radio that has AM AND FM? Wow, what will they think of next?!

    >>> Kind of gives the reasons behind the folk music graze that set in mid sixties, and the acid rock that came to dominate the youth culture of the late sixties.

I know a few badass girls who drive Mustangs...

Of course, "Sally" had a revelation and bought a Pontiac in her later days. Just like all the cool kids do when they reach adulthood.

Mine once lost a race to a Mustang... Once... Then again, I like the kid and I obviously let her win. That's what big brothers do.
