I do. The Saab has a CD-MP3 player so I keep erasing and recording the same 700MB CD-RW. It was a cheap JVC head unit with HD radio and I didn't want to keep an iPod in a convertible. Head units available in 2010 with SD card slots were still a bit expensive which would then become theft targets.

that dude is 80's as hell..

    btw who actually does that?

i love music but i dont think id ever just sit in a chair beside my music player of choice and just listen to the music without doing anything else.

Maybe while playing a video game or working on something. but never would i use music as a soundtrack for listening to music

Ive an mp3 deck, with an aux jack but hate fumbling with the cables, so i rip 120 songs to a disc and let it shuffle through that. Until i can get my Pioneer AVH4300DVD Head unit.

I have done it. I found it to be quite relaxing. but it wasnt a CD player...it was a tape deck.

Re: Do you still use CDs?

I buy CD's to put them onto my computer if it's a great CD that's a part of a collection I'm building (all my Zeppelin, all my Springsteen, etc) or if it's got great album art. Otherwise I just download from iTunes. I play my iPod through my surround sound system at home or through my cassette player in the car.

Re: Do you still use CDs?

Yeah, I still use CD's and I even listen to music all by itself, undiluted by other activities, just as if I were at a symphony concert. But then I am old and can't handle too many things at all one time!

All I listen to is CD's. Not a big fan of the radio, because they usually play nothing but commercials and crap. There's two or three stations I usually will listen to. I never had an IPod or anything like that. I'm fine with CD's. Even the quality of burned ones is very good with the Bose system in my car.

All the jewel cases in there now are original releases from the 80's lol. Mainly Aerosmith and the Beatles.

I pack my Ipod Nano 8GB everywhere. As a rule Apple is the automotive equivalent of selling refurbished 90's Camrys with facelifts for the interior and exterior, but in its simplicity, my Ipod is durable and reliable. Course it may have something to do with the fact that I have no CD deck in Alexandra

If you own and have listened to How the West Was Won in it's entirety, you can throw away all of the studio albums as they suddenly sound like crap! It's the only set you need.

Re: Do you still use CDs?

Bought my first CD in '89. The band was Slaughter and the album was "Stick It To Ya". I still have my first CD. I have turned my CD collection into MP3's but still hold on to my originals. I do have MP3 capability in all my cars but I put the MP3's on CD's where I can put as many as 170 or so songs per disc.
