Me, too. Loved the sound effects. Elizabeth Montgomery was such a lovely woman, and Agnes Moorhead as Endora was hilarious as the mother-in-law from hell.

    Re: Name the show.

Wasn't that Lincoln from that seventies show about a Police commisioner (Rock Hudson) and his perky wife (Something "St." something) in San Francisco. I vaguely remember the commisioner riding around in a Lincoln like that .

    ----------

I do seem to remember that 1958 Fleetwood limousine from the Apalakin (sp?) scenes from the "Godfather"

That was the pimp who poisoned his "ho" w/Drano (no rhyme intended) b/c she held out on them Benjamins...

    ----------

Loving that McMillan & Wife Continental...

    ----------

The McMillan & Wife Wikipedia entry mentioned that it was often played on:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_CBS_Late_Movie

I had forgotten all about this, but remember this as a kid coming on after the late news. (I didn't have much of a bedtime when I was little...)

They should bring this back...I'd rather see this than that fool Letterman...

The local rerun channel in Chicago runs the Mystery Movies that included McMillan & Wife, Banacek, and so on. Great stuff.

Susan Saint James is still gorgeous, and that show was pretty risqué for the era. At least by dialog and innuendo. Poor Rock, people didn't realize how much acting skill it took for him to make out with those beautiful women.

    Re: Name the show.

You guys are right on the Lincoln, McMillan and Wife. I watched a movie on TCM with Rock Hudson and Doris Day last night, it was kind of funny watching Rock be Mr straight guy wooing the ladies.

Also right on the Eldo, Magnum Force starring Dirty Harry Clint - I love those movies!

The 58 Fleetwood Limousine is shown making a hurried entry to the Townsend estate in Glen Cove. In the back of the limo, kidnapped, is Cary Grant. The movie is Hitchcock's North by Northwest from 1959.

    Re: Name the show.

Magnum Force also had an early 70s Fleetwood w/a bunch of criminals in it who all got taken out by one of the vigilante cops.
