Back to the topic at hand, I grilled a steak for dinner, medium rare, with a baked potato loaded with butter and sour cream, accompanied by a nice petite sirah. Followed by a couple of these for dessert:

Re: Food: What is your favorite dish or dishes?

i think i have a different kind of reaction to alcohol. the day after a drinking alot i wake up with rashes all over my hands. i assume its from having spilled some on my hands or mispouring it, getting on the outside of the cup which then touches my hand.

Wine i cant get into. ive tried it multiple times, with steaks, with pastas with just about any meal you can think of and also by itself. never will i get used to it i think...

Lifes too short to get used to drinking wine

I no longer drink alcohol. When I did drink Scotch and Bourbon were my drinks of choice. I did drink wine with meals, but really never enjoyed it, only drank it because it was being served. Beer also was not on my beverage list. Even though I am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Madison I never cared for beer, possibly because in those days only that crap from Milwaukee was served. I did enjoy a Guiness while pubbing in Scotland!

Would that be Miller, Schlitz, or Old Milwaukee?

I don't really know, the few times I tried it (at frat parties and in campus beer halls) it came out of a keg and my curiosity wasn't peaked to ask who made it!

When the Winter turned really cold and the nights long, I kept a small bottle of Grand Marnier in my room, which my girlfriend and I would occasionally enjoy!

No that's just one of my random pet peeves.

I have several of them. Oftentimes listening to people speak in person makes me cringe.

Actually my use of the word "peaked" in this case was correct, in that, my interest in knowing the manufacturer of the beer had not reached a level where I needed to find out its' name. I wasn't "piqued" at the beer per say, but only uninterested in who made the beer!
