What's the point, if you can't afford the real thing .... and the bragging rights there of, why bother?

That's the perfect Countach in my book.

The Countach and Diablo were the first two cars that caught my eye. I've been in one of each. They're amazing. The Countach was my "poster on the wall of childhood" car.

    Still want.

This coming from the person who told me that I value perception and status more than anything else? Hah! If it makes the owner happy, who gives a shit about 'bragging rights'?

Simple. I like this one better. This car is an almost exact replica using several parts off the real one. 99% of the public will not be able to tell but I would let them know it was fake if asked. The beauty of this one is well over 500hp of fuel injected small block Chevy and it runs 11.2 in the 1/4 mile. I'll bet it sounds real nasty too. Show me a real Countach that goes that fast!!! The number 1 reason to take this over a real one is maintenance pure and simple. You can replace this whole drivetrain for less that a simple servicing on a regular Countach. All the style, more power and cheaper maintenance makes this a winner.

Well, if you feel you need "bragging rights" to enjoy the car, then this definitely isn't for you. Since that's your first point of interest, I'm assuming you are an example. Why you are driving a lowly decade old FWD Cadillac then, I don't know, because it doesn't offer many bragging rights. The less fortunate sections of Milwaukee are riddled with them - not exactly exclusive, nothing much to brag about.

Anyway, if one loves the style but not the price, this is a pretty good alternative to the real thing.

    Even I get this one.

If you read the details in that Countach replica, the sbc makes peak power at 8500rpm and redlines at 9100. Jesus ****ing Christ man, that thing is almost a Sprint Cup motor that runs on pump gas. I hate to say it, but I'd much rather have that SBC over the v12. It might not sound "right", but I'll be damned if anybody tells me a sbc spinning to 9000rpm sounds any less exotic than a v12 lambo.

I'd rock it. Imagine having a redline that high. I bet it sounds AMAZING!

Holy crap... I can't even imagine, considering the fastest car I've owned was the DeVille. Hahaha

My post had no relevance to what decade, it was a response to the white Testarossa on Miami Vice. I have always wanted a Countach, but only in white. Hence, why I poasted a pic...
