It's only a car. We all buy/drive what we like and/or need. It doesn't matter if others don't share your opinion. My E250 van is probably the best vehicle I've ever had (well over 150 cars so far including many luxury and sports cars) but I'm not expecting anyone to get give me kudos for owning it or to understand why it ranks up there. It fills my needs and does what it is meant to do flawlessly. I have bad opinions of certain cars but it is based on experience. I'm not gonna "puke" on anyones car because it doesn't necessarily appeal to me of fill my needs.

Heck, I'd even rock a woody wagon if the right one came up. Yes, I like the wood. Florida sun is less-than-kind to it, though.
A stock Caprice wagon isn't aesthetically pleasing to me but customize it the right way and ..........voila.......it becomes aesthetically pleasing. The "bubble" look of the 90's GM's isn't aesthetically pleasing to me but that doesn't mean it can't be aesthetically pleasing to you. I don't like the bubble Caprice's but I do love the Impala SS. I love angular cars and I like several "bubble" cars like the Crosstour but take a good look at one of my favorites, the Porsche 928. It too could qualify as "bubble". I sometimes do buy cars for what they "could" look like and not what they actually look like at the time I shake hands, disperse funds and take possession. Much like when I bought my '91 Fleetwood. There was no way in hell I was gonna leave it stock. A suspension drop, Impala SS wheels and a modded 5.7 were envisioned at the time of purchase.

The Olds Custom Cruiser is nice as-is (well, wheels are always helpful), but I will agree in stock form the Caprice leaves a bit to be desired. I see what you're getting at.

I knew a kid back in high school who thought his dad's 914 was fast. I told him my dad's '86 Celebrity was quicker. That probably wasn't a false accusation.

My 2.5L SOHC V6 Sebring would probably take a 914... Now THAT'S sad.

Nope. I like them too. Especially when they are done up with flares and Chevy motors. The 914 is another prime example of a car that can really be made into something sweet. I've seen them with modded stock motors and turbos, Chevy SBC motors (even an LS1) and I've seen them with transplanted 928 motors. Light weight and good hp always equals a lot of fun and if dressed up right the 914 can be a looker too.

I had an '89 Custom Cruiser (pre "bubble"), I actually really liked that car.

Watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLD-ibf7l6k . While the newer Toyota's were faster it doesn't mean they were cooler. I'd rather go into my garage and look at a Delorean or Ferrari than a new Camry or Sienna.

I have a friend that has 2 Oldsmobiles Custom Cruiser. One of them is stock and the other is dropped with custom wheels and it looks slick but man does it ride low. He's got vintage Recaro seats in it and a lightly modded 350. I have to take a picture of it and post it.

One guy I autocross with has a 914-6 GT. It's badass and sounds great, he usually places between 10th-15th out of around 80 people.

You guys and these ugly station wagons.

Look here to see a real Caprice wagon; not an ugly box nor a homely bubble - just a true all American car:

Everything else is an unreasonable facsimile.
