That makes you a "purist".Wouldn't it be fun to take that car to a Lamborghini meet/club/event and blow the doors off the rest of the Countach's? Hell yeah it would and doing it all with a basic American small block that dates back to the 50's? Priceless.

Eh... I get the whole exclusive thing, but any way you slice it that thing's Aztek/SSR/B-wagon cool in my book.

I can see the SSR or even the B wagon thing but the Aztec thing is worrisome. At least if you were to say it's a drug issue and seek help, it would somehow be understandable.

Here's how i feel about most kit/replica cars. Basically, you are buying a fake body of an exotic, and ploping it on top of the antiquated chassis of a car with nowhere near the performance of the car it is meant to resemble. What you end up with, is a car that mostly resembles a car that you would otherwise not be able to afford, with barely a fraction of the performance, that will never be the real deal.

To put it into perspective. I like my Seville, let's say a really nice example costs ~$10K, and I couldn't afford that. Let's also imagine, that I could buy a late '80's Lumina, rebodied to look like my Seville for only ~$2K. I would have ZERO interest in that car. Looks similar, ride, handling and power, nowhere near the same.

Obviously that Lambo replica isn't just any average replica, but it still lacks something in my opinion. Instead of blowing the doors off of a Countach in a replica, I'd much rather do it in a "REAL" early '70's Chevelle.

the Testarossa was legit, donated by Ferrari after Ferrari demanded the maker of the Daytona Spyder replica cease and decist. Ferrari donated two testarossa's and a replica testarossa was built from a DeTomaso Pantera for stunts. The Daytona Spyder replica was the one based on the C3 vette

Sting, I hate to say I told you so, but I kindly suggested at the time you ordered that plate to consider ROO WGN instead of ROO WAGN so you would be guaranteed of avoiding the W covering the center...live and learn: this is one of your many life lessons.

what an ass. only one testarossa spyder officially ever made. supposedly prince jefri offered up 90 million for another testarossa spyder to be made for him. he then proceeds to park it in a agarage and let it almost rot. its for sale for 775,000 with only the original delivery miles on the clock

Bastard! I feel bad for the car... It's like having a racehorse that has never left the stable.
