I have to say, the water up in the PNW makes for some pretty darn good beers.

I've heard rumors about the waste water management on Fiji, wonder if it affects the water?

As long as it keeps tasting like that, it won't bother me.

Re: Cadillac Escalades are the Most Stolen Vehicles in the US

In my area, if someone buys some kind of old manual shift Honda/Acura/Nissan, then chances are it will be stolen in a few weeks. I've had three friends with stolen Japanese manual shift cars (one found the shell of the car) within a month, and numerous around town.

I think it's because those type of cars became famous with all those ricer modifications and people always need various parts to make the car "cool".

I have a serious moral objection to FIJI water. The company is owned by a California couple, and they threatened to close up shop when the Fijian government thought about taxing their water. The government of course capitulated since the water is like 3% of their GDP. The plastic for the bottles is made in a dirty Chinese plant that operates on diesel fuel. Half of Fiji's population does not have regular access to clean drinking water. Then anybody with half a brain can tell you that it isn't good for the environment to ship water 10,000 miles in container ships and jets.

If I went to all the trouble to actually steal a T900 Escalade, I'd be a pretty disappointed car thief.

I like Fiji, but my first choice is Volvic.

    Threadjack continued:

As to the Fiji issues, I'm always for lower taxes, so the gov't should never have pitched a surcharge to one of their top industries anyway. The company should have fought back.

Unless they're making iPhones, most Chinese factories are dirty. The whole country is dirty.

As to the Fiji population's drinking water, how is not buying Fiji bottled water supposed to solve that problem? Even less industry and fewer jobs?

And since Fiji is an island in the middle of nowhere, ships and planes have to bring pretty much everything in. I'm sure those empty vehicles are taking water with them when they leave.

I do hate their bottles, though, as they don't easily fit in cupholders...
