He got a nice one of us standing under the Cadillac sign ...
So as I stated before, I headed home into a snowstorm. Went into a ditch just north of Madison, got towed out only to find my power steering was gone, so I stayed at a Comfort Inn at the nearest town and took it to the Chev/Buick/GMC dealer in town, got it diagnosed as a broken seal on the power steering pump, but it was leaking too much to just replace the seal. So 8 hours and $305 later, I was back in business, but only to find that it was still snowing in the Twin Cities, so I stayed another night at the hotel and drove home today. It was about 25* and sunny the entire ride home and traffic was moving at a brisk 70, not the 45 it was on Sunday, so I was able to make great time. The snowstorm that the Twin Cities saw was the worst one to ever hit the state in February...the worst hit city saw 20.7"...and I think St. Paul got like 11.6 or something. So when I got home, my aunt was already shoveling, and we shoveled together for a while, but it was too bad so my uncle came over with a snowblower and made quick work of the daunting task. Great ending to the 48 hour misadventure!
Packers win the superbowl, cue the dealer packages in celebration. The dealer I got my Regal fixed at had this in their showroom.
They gave me a '00 Impala LS as a loaner to get some breakfast with. Not a bad ride! Felt a little bigger inside than my Regal, but wasn't as luxurious nor as nicely laid out inside. And even the base 3800 Series II had trouble keeping traction when accelerating on these snowy roads.
