Or just have an "accident" and collect the insurance.

Went shopping and bought myself a new starter from parts plus. 53 dollars+ core for an AC Delco Pro starter. For 10 bucks less from another parts store, I could have gotten the 1 year warranty no name starter. That same parts store wanted 110+ shipping for the same ac delco starter and had a 1 week wait time on that.

I think a name brand Hammer would be best.

^^^ A hammer, much too reliable for a Lucas product, more like a Rudge.

Drove the DTS down and back to my sister's place in Long Beach for Thanksgiving dinner.

Tow truck came today for the caddy....and I didn't need it. Apparently the lesabres battery was low enough that it wouldn't crank the 350. Guy threw a jump box on it and had me turn the key and it fired right up. Drove to my mechanics. Suspension and rims await.

Swapped out my leaky FPR with ease. Getting the damn hairpin back in took some doing though. I got it and then realized there goes my excuse for skipping Black Friday.

Been having a slow leak on one of the tires on the TC. It's a brand new set so its either a bad valve or leaky bead.

Back at Town Fair Tire seeing what's for...

Caddy has new shocks. SS springs are not being installed. According to my mechanic, due to the low spring height (over a coil shorter than the stock springs), the lighter engine that sits further back in the engine bay, and all the crap in the back of the car, the wheel lip drops down below the top of the hubcap, which he said will cause me to scrape on the crappy streets around here. I'll have to wait till monday to see about the front springs.
As for the rims, 1 of them has holes that are too wallowed out to mount (he said the other 3 look like they were barely used/ if at all). So looks like I'll be bringing my spare turbine rims up on monday.
Also, the lug nuts I got are too shallow on the taper to work. So much for amazons "will it work"?

I didn't do anything special with my car today, but I thought I'd share my experience at work today!

I met an interesting family... Lisa Rinna, Harry Hamlin and children. Or as hueterm said, "Lisa Rinna's nose, Lisa Rinna, Harry Hamlin, and the children." So true. Harry was a really nice guy and the girls were sweet (and really attractive) but Lisa was a royal B word.
