Couple of weeks ago during replacing my front engine mount, I realized that my left and right mounts are broken too. Too late to buy and replace! Today I ordered them from rockauto, hopefully this weekend I will replace them.

I still love that dash design. In those the needle will dip behind the dash and then come down into the gear selector... I wonder how fast you're going when the speedometer needle is pointing to the back of the right turn signal?

Gave the Roadmaster a good wash. Looks better without all the bug guts plastered to the front bumper.

I dunno. I'd say 105 is when the needle disappears not only are you going fast- you're going so fast the needle has vanished. when it reappears I'd guess 120 or thereabouts.

I really like the character of this car. It poses like a celebrity! I am wondering why you are not using this car as your daily driver? Yes, the gas millage isn't very good, however I guess it shouldn't be very worse than the Explorer!

Drove it home from a Memorial Day party at a friend's house. Who says you can't haul stuff with these?

It is my understanding that federal law still dictates that speedometers can not read higher than 85 mph.

Washed it again today since it rained for most of the weekend. Bought some Mother's polish for the exhaust tips which I'm quite pleased with.

^Wash it any more and you'll be asking us how to keep the bare sheetmetal from flash rusting.

The Roadmaster is my mom and grandmother's primary transportation. The truck serves that purpose for me. She likes the truck too though, so when I wander off with the car it's not a big deal. The truck is getting about 15mpg around town where the Roadmaster gets 17-18.

I love the character of it as well. There's not a better suited name for this than Roadmaster.

that roadmaster looks badass. the rims give it a much more imposing presence (looks more roadmaster-ish)

Re: What did you do to your car today?

Thanks. Wish I could take credit for it. I just bought it that way. There's another set of wheels that I'd like to put on it, but I see no real reason to change the Weld's.
