Had a few friends help me replace both front wheel hubs. Still got some high speed shake but I'm going to take it to get road force balanced this week. If that doesn't fix it I might swap out the tires and put Michelin on the car as the Eagle LS's are known to cause shaking. Still need to resurface rotors but might just go ahead and buy new ones and be done with it.

Hit up R1 concepts, you'll get a killer deal on rotors

Wow thanks! New OE rotors and pads are $97.10 with coupon! RockAuto was $20 more. I'll have to get those ordered this week; car still has a little over half of pad left but I'd rather go ahead and knock this out now than wait for later.

^ It looks slow, but trust me that was all the caddy's tires had, anymore I would be pushing cones. I was working that steering wheel like a madman.
And people think I'm crazy for autocrossing the Seville.

I've found it looks like you're going a lot faster when you're behind the wheel than it looks on a track side video.

I've thought about taking Betty out on the course, but I'd hate to scuff up the whitewalls.

Re-installed PS mirror cable, and plastic piece for radiator air flow on the 77 CDV.
Next step door panels, and A/C work.

Hmm... comparing now. Thanks for tip.

EDIT: For my app, RA beats them by a bit. They look like they have nice selection though

Re: What did you do to your car today?

Drove to 3 different parts stores to find a hose and 2 clamps. 3 strikes!

This is what I handed them. (Note: Bonus irony points for being on a desk pad stating, "Brake problems?")

2 of the three came back with a piece of fuel line.

The 3rd ask me if it was fuel line, I said no 400 PSI is not fuel line and that it was power steering. He didn't have any. I asked for a center pull hose clamp. Had to explain what one was to him.(None of the three knew what one was, and none sold them)

He half laughed and said. "A hose clamp to hold a P steering line, I don't think so." I told him it has held for 37 years and 95,000 miles, it can't be too inferior a set-up!

So I cleaned up my old parts and re-installed them. The other hose was bad, this one looked OK and was made in 1996 so I hope it will do for now.

    Found some electrical issues.

    Pos. battery cable...

....and this little rats nest I have to deal with tomorrow.

You probably already went there, but did you try NAPA? They had a lug nut and battery for a '49 Buick Super Convertible my father said he was having a hard time finding last week. Probably nowhere near as hard to find as what you need.

Nope, I was on my lunch and ran out of time after three. I never thought a 2 ft piece of bulk cut hose and two clamps was a rare item. It was Sun so the real pro places were all closed.

Welp sounds like you should hit up NAPA or Carquest then.

California Duster, vacuum passenger interior, remove trunk carpet, vacuum, wash trunk interior. Blowdry, carpet and padding back in at 5.

The rolls of rubbery perforated matting ("shelf lining") you find at Dollar General - dirt cheap and NOTHING will slide on it.

Not the car - eBay ordered an entire new mower deck for the 2001 Craftsman 42" lawn tractor - the whole assembly; blades, belts, rods, clevis pins, hairclips, deck, chute - FedEx ground free, here Friday. $350. Better than $1950 + 6% for a new tractor.
