And felt that the interior was nice but nothing like the Seville i think the DHS model with a little bit more wood trim looked better. Also the power was there i give it that but just did not feel as sporty as my Seville.

Today I drove Rebecca to a small local car show, strictly as a spectator. 'Twas nice.
Surprisingly the weight difference between the two cars is about 50 pounds! I don't know how Cadillac managed that with an added 6" of length. This motor is definitely more sedate than the L37 my STS had but this one is definitely no slouch. I will say this car rides much smoother and floats better down the road and the handling isn't as boat-like as I expected.

Yea the Deville is heavier but i was not expecting the power it had to feel slow. I wish i could drive the ETC to see what its like but still have not ordered any parts i need for it so shes not road worthy yet. But the ESC my father took out seemed pretty good on power.

There might have been something wrong with the Deville you were driving. All of the '98+ SLS's I have driven feel the same as the Deville's of the same era. From the spec sheet the Deville weighs 3950 lbs while the Seville is right around that same weight. The power is nice compared to the BMW I had before though. Missed the sound of the V8 too.

Maybe it is the difference between L37 and LD8 engines?

Re: What did you do to your car today?

Figured out there was something wrong with the clutch on my truck. When you press the pedal to the floor it isn't fully disengaging. Found that out when trying to pull out of a parallel parking spot downtown, foot to the floor on the clutch, gave it a little gas before letting out the clutch, flew into the truck behind me. Didn't do any damage to either vehicle, knock on wood.

The weird thing is this is an intermittent problem, I tried the whole way home to get it to do the same thing, wouldn't do it until I backed into my driveway, luckily I was anticipating it this time and didn't back over the fence. I did notice the pedal felt spongy and slow to release when this happened, along with a couple of other times on the drive home. Also the pedal does release pretty close to the floor, both before and after I replaced the clutch, so I figured that's just the way it is on this truck.

BTW its a hydraulic clutch, fluid was full in the master cylinder. The weird thing was there was a bit of moisture and oily water on the inner fender right below the master/resevior, but I couldn't feel/see where it was leaking from. The whole master clutch cylinder actually looked pretty new and didn't have a drop of fluid leaking anywhere from it.

Drove the truck today what a POS with no A/C. Drove the Seville since my father wanted to get food so here is where the story starts. Driving down the road its a 50mph zone and i'm going a little under. And i see this dude in a Buick hall ass to get in front of me well he went on the entrence ramp for the highway then went back into my lane. Going 35.... So you nail it to get in front of me almost causing a crash and you go way below the speed limit? WTF!! People need to learn how to drive.

Re: What did you do to your car today?

Installed the side marker lights, and front headlight pieces. I was able to get these parts thanks to CadillacKevin, Thanks man.

Also pulled the PS. Side front tire off, it decided to shred itself just driving from the garage to outside.
Also pulled the caliper off, i'm getting ready to check out the wheel bearings; they have been making some noise on that side.

    Bonus injury!
I had to change the hose from the aircompressor to another hose to get the impact to the wheel, due to the position of the car. There wasn't much light there so I had the drop light in one hand, and decided to uncouple the house with the other. Next thing I know, I'm seeing stars. That hose took off like a rocket and hit me right in the eye!
Everything is fine, but it sure didn't feel good.

and this.....same color scheme as my old 91 cutlass cruiser SL....this one was optioned a little better though- had the rally pack gauges with the tach and leather (?) seats...although it only had the 3.1 instead of the 3.3. Unfortunately, they don't sell cars, else this one would have come home with me.

    She's BAAACCCKKK!

I put the 150 Spoke wire wheels back on the Eldo today. I know one leaks but I had forgotten how good it looks with them on.
