TODAY. I replaced the radiator in my Cadillac with a nice, fancy all aluminium one and all is well in the world. Had to get a new upper radiator hose though from Advance, which fit the end of the Radiator, but was not as long as the factor hose. Only $30, so meh. I ordered a better one online, which should be here next week.

YESTERDAY. I replaced the receiving cups for my headlamps, which are now somehow even MORE bright. Scary reality. I also removed the grille from the Cadillac:

I am very proud of that, as I apparently confused Kevin as to how I managed to do it and if anyone is truly experienced in disassembling 80's Broughams, it's that guy. The trick, Kevin, is the PA system speakers weren't in the way. I pulled it through the front.

Then I wrapped it in screen and put it back inside. We Classic Car Guys down here know this trick well. It may not look the best now, but it will serve it's purpose.

Why, you ask? Let's ask my '02 Ford. These photos were from driving for TWO HOURS TOTAL last year and there were two stops during the trip to clean the car prior to taking these photographs.

I was a service advisor at a Chevy dealer from 07-08 and I remember a LOT of Trailblazers having similar issues with their ignition switches.

My brother and I took my Mom and Grandmother out to a local Italian place for dinner tonight as a surprise early Mother's Day gift. We drove up there in my Cadillac, because Grandma and Mom like how smooth it is on the highway.

Damn I've never heard of these problems with the Trailblazer/Envoy/Bravada's when I worked at the GMC dealership. Never knew they were such a pain in the ass. I do enjoy the 4.2 I6 engines though.

Yea from what i have been reading is there junk not just the switch but the early Trailblazers. So Sunday i will be taking my Father to Gold Coast Cadillac and seeing if he sees any STS's or DTS's that he likes. We might be trading the 03 Blazer and the 01 Monte for something i know hes been wanting a Cadillac since the Seville and the ETC did not help lol

This is the I6 and i mean she is pretty damn fast for a truck but these problems are starting to just pile up. I'v told him the first day he bought it there was going to be problems and now look! It was a showroom new truck and they really polished this turd.

Rob, I was confused because my grille brackets are inverted (to set the grille back)

Cadillackid- the ABS and brake lights are usually on because there is a broken solder joint (or many) in the ABS module (the one on my 00 safari has been doing that for over a year....and no, it's not a hazard. The brakes still work fine, just the idiot lights go on and off randomly)

James, the 307 "pegs" at 95 or so (when it disappears out of the speedo). When it reappears in the shift indicator, you are doing 120 or so.

Don't worry about it. I actually like that abbreviation. I am going to use it. I used to have a JABT Granada. I am glad I got rid of it.

Hmmmmm... I dunno if I want to see the speedometer needle in the shift indicator. I would think I broke it or something. lol lol If I could get the brougham up to 120 that might scare me.

Yeah....you're kind of holding on to the wheel for dear life, trying to steer a land yacht that really doesn't want to turn, and watching the gas gauge drop like a rock (you suck about a gallon a mile...at least)

Re: What did you do to your car today?

Replaced intake gaskets. The guy who did it last time, a friend of my dad's who did it while we were out of town, really half-assed the job. Man... if you want something done right, do it yourself for real.

It started to POUR midway through. I still have to change the oil and re-fill the radiator. Then I have to run some new vacuum lines. Some of them were broken in removal, because they're annoying and finicky.

Replaced the rear discs and calipers on my Half Brother's Oldsmobile. Then bled the brakes. That thing is nearly all new down there now and the parts that aren't are sitting in boxes, waiting to be put on yet.
