-Right front inner and outer tie rods.
-Left and right upper ball joints and control arm assemblies.
-Left and right lower tension rods.
    -Front end alignment.

$1,144.61 later and all front end noises have finally been exorcised from the Magnum. Yay!

Funny, I replaced tie rod ends on a Magnum last year, 2005 I think. I thought it was a little strange that even though the boots were still fully intact, the joints wore out so soon. I wonder how common front end problems are on that platform... What year is yours that you replaced all of that on?

What did I do to my car today? Nothing.

What did my mother do? Forgot about a speed bump, lost, and ran over one of my smoothie hubcaps. Now I won't have them for the mini meet/picnic this weekend. I am not pleased.

Re: What did you do to your car today?

went to the junkyard. got a new steering column cover for the safari (prev owner busted current one into pieces trying to take (pry) it off to fix NOTHING! (dumbass).
also found quite a few 93-96 b bodies. there was a beautiful black on black olds custom cruiser (orig dark blue ext on black int), a nice black on black leather fwb and a few 9C1 caprices (but no dash bezel for stingroo ). fwb had awesome full power 40/40 split seats with a floor console (WTF?) but the pass seat was leaning to one side (don't think they roll side to side)- shame because otherwise they would have been awesome to put in my fwb. leather was perfect. I would have snagged some parts for my fwb, but my dad wanted to get lunch. Planning on going back next week for fwb parts.

If that black wagon is there, take pics. No B-body ever came with a black interior as far as I am aware.... Hmmmm....

Re: What did you do to your car today?

I looked at it good (for seats) and it all seems to be original. I'll take some pics when I go back. I'll write down the VIN too. It had just got there a month or so ago and is still intact except for a few misc parts (and the motor I think). wagons tend to stay in that yard for a long time (years as opposed to about 6 months). Its only the 3rd olds wagon I've seen (both in yard and on road). the interior is IMO the best looking interior for a mid 90's b-body.

Yeah. The Olds are definitely the nicest of the bunch. I'm really curious about that VIN. Almost excited.

I put the same combo on my STS about 1000 miles ago. They are indeed impressive. They are a nice subtle visual touch too.

I had to jump on 'em from 110 on a little rural back road run. They'll pull your eyeballs out.

Tie rods are pretty much known to owners as a regular maintenance item on the LX cars. I believe they're just not beefy enough for the size of the car. We used Moog parts this time, which I'm hoping will be a bit more durable than the stock Mopars.
My Magnum R/T is an '06 with SRT springs, struts and hotchkiss sways (the harder ride probably doesn't help suspension longevity).

Re: What did you do to your car today?

Borrowed an air ratchet from one of my dad's friends. My god I love air tools. Got that upper shock mount off with no problems (other than crawling into and out of the trunk of the car... to hell with that nonsense).

Can't get the large bolts that go through the bottom of it aligned though. Need an extra pair of hands. Will tackle this tonight when it's not exactly face-meltingly hot.

I got a cordless Craftsman impact wrench for track days. Can't wait to use it!

^ Are electric impact guns worth a darn? Been thinking about getting one since I have no space/garage/$$$$ for an air compressor.
