But I have a meeting of the minds I must attend for an hour, back out at my job. May as well have held it tonight, since I had half of the minions in my possession all night. Well, I guess night is over, because the sun is coming out, but whatever...

Finally got around to changing the oil in the DeVille. 5.5 quarts of oil and a new filter and on down the road I go!

After reading all this debate, I had to go start up both of my cars. Sabrina's Northstar is indeed silken. Betty's 327 has a bit of a rumble, but I think that might be partially due to a small exhaust leak. But there is little to no vibration to be felt at idle on either car. I've read that the bore and stroke of the 327 is perfectly balanced, making it the smoothest of the classic small-block Chevys.

............. car ................. today .................... nothing - but "car house" as in: garage - is getting new overhead doors and opener assemblies in 3 weeks. Lotsa bucks, but the new belt drive insulated doors and touch pad remotes will make the old 26 year old spring/chain units look like dinosaurs.

When I came back Friday I filled up with 91 octane Shell gasoline, and since I JUST changed my oil, I dumped in a round of Techron. She is quite pleased, as am I

Re: What did you do to your car today?

Today I did a rather large, very smokey, noisy burn out in the face of some yahoo that was obnoxiously jabbering on the cell phone (windows down) instead of driving.

It was good for me, but the other fellow cut loose with a foul mouthed diatribe that made me laugh at him.

I think he'll smell like the Michelin Man and will be sneezing black rubber bands when he gets home this evening.

Re: What did you do to your car today?

Today I stopped by the interior shop and installed some rubber items on the 69, and made a ballpark adjustment to the power trunk pulldown. Still a few more things to do, but it was good to be able to do something to the car again.

Today, me and my Town Car chased down some awful woman who hit someone and ran off the road in the snowstorm today. She was in a Pathfinder and able to get out of the snow bank. I got her plates and reported her to the State Police.

She and another guy wrecked right in front of the state police barracks. And she ran anyway...

Re: What did you do to your car today?

^Been there. I once ended a high speed pursuit too, along with another driver who caught on to what was going on. Interestingly, I was in the Cadillac, though I always figured the day I would be in that situation, I would be in my Mack.

Today, I was sent five detailed photos with some basic instructions as to where someone left their car and how to open the hood (from the outside) to obtain a spare key left in the engine bay, as to access the interior of the car, the keys in the console and drive it away, in the event that the person got arrested, which they foresaw coming in their immediate future. I then rallied two Minions to perform this task. However, thankfully for the person in question, he did not and such a plan did not have to happen at all.
