Discovered my car was leaking oil like the gulf again. Tomorrow's task? Put it up on jackstands and scrub the bottom of the engine with purple power!

safari got wrecked. I got sideswiped by some lady in a ratty acura SUV. have to take it to body shop tomorrow. needs new pass. front fender, pass front door, body work on the sliding door and quarter panel, repaint on the front bumper, and a new right rear tire. not a very good end to what had been a really good day.

Re: What did you do to your car today?

    ^Hit and run?

Pulled the tarp off the T-bird and gave it a quick wash.

Havent done much to it lately due to finances but it has come quite a long way. I removed what was left of the landau top exposing the rusty goodness underneath.

That's the weld where they attach a panel that converts it from a formal roof to the landau roof. That's probably the worst of it.

^Repainted the rear panel with graphite wheel coating, and polished the tail lenses with 'Plast X' polish. Good sh*t.

When I bought it back in November It didnt run. I rebuilt the carb, removed the AC components, new belts and hoses, plugs, and wires, MSD 5 box, vacuum modulator, the list goes on and on...

Lost the brakes as I was pulling up the driveway(SOOO lucky!) It was like squashing a grapefruit under the brake pedal. SQUISH! No brakes! The master cylinder had failed completely. I replaced that and bled all four wheels. One day I will have to get a shot of the rear drums. They are absolutely HUGE! Front brake pads are monstrous as well.

In other news (because you care) Im benching another set of injectors for the seville:

Bought a bunch of different ones on Ebay. Many to choose from.... It ran great with 19#'ers but mileage was bad

Going with 18.25 lb/hr Ford units this time. I have 16.7Lb'ers for BMW's in there now and the computer doesnt seem to like them. Mileage is alot better with them but I'm just sick of the way it runs and I want my whorespowerz back.

I know any of you with even the slightest sense of style will hate me for this but I had to throw the old E&G back on. Anything I can do to make this K-body look less like a damn Buick is fair game for me.

Washed the Explorer for the 3rd time in 24 hours and discovered there was a truck under all that crap. Also scrubbed on the interior a little, vacuumed it out, and did the windows. Now you can get in it without fear of needing a tetanus shot. I'm not done with it, but it's shaping up.

Also had a friend put on a new trans pan gasket, trans filter, and new fluid earlier.

Re: What did you do to your car today?

nope- accident wasnt hit and run. lady wasnt paying attention, cut the center of the corner too close and swung wide on the turn out, and wasnt paying attention to the white lines on the road. drove straight into the side of my van and got hung up on my fender/ wheel. (I was turning on the outside of her in the outer right turn lane- she was on the inner right turn lane). also realized that police didnt give me her insurance info when they gave me all my info back (gave me accident report info, but not insurance info), so I'm gonna have to wait for the police report and fight it out with the insurance co. I have her plate and car model, but nothing else.
also- the lady was munching on food as she left the scene- hmmm. she also told me she "thought" she was in her lane. I hate bad drivers.

Re: What did you do to your car today?

Let's see... where do I start..... I got rid of the Billet grill, put clear turn signals, tinted tails, tinted the front windows, got rid of the chrome 20s, fixed the header leak, full tune up, all fluids changed, and changed a few worn front end items!

The wheels are GM accessory CK628 20x8.5 with 22 offset. Tires are 305/50/20 Mastercraft Courser HTR.

I always liked the billet grille for the Eldorado against the Crimson Pearl. I thought it really made it pop.
