Hmm, didn't notice the red lip until you mentioned it. Guess it's from the sanding and body working.

I'm on the fence about it, I'll have to see it in person. I can imagine the red accents looking good though once it's cleaned back up. A guy at the show had a marblehead grey metallic wagon with gunmetal wheels, and the red SS emblems and red stripe on his wheel lip brought the whole car together. I love little details like that that just "work".

You know, I think that's the first full-size photo I've ever seen of the mythical Regal on 40's.

the bad thing is, you can tell time and money went into it, so its not some raggedy ghetto piece of trash that someone just slapped the biggest rims they could find onto.

i just wish it wasnt so ugly, and ill never understand the obsession with putting some random crap on the side of your car. you spent a bunch of money on 40 inch rims, you spent a bunch of money getting them to fit, now at least get a good mural artist or a nice paintjob.

i saw a black and red caprice in the area (bubble 94-96) they had taken a picture of michael vick in a heisman pose and put it on the side, they put a falcons logo on the door his number somewhere on it, and his "autograph" (really just his name in a generic cursive font) on the rear quarters. i was like "why?! asre you really that big of a fan, if the car breaks down is he gonna pay to fix it? did he pay for the paintjob?"

Exactly. I don't get the logos, it's not like they're sponsored.

Hence my chalkboard. I can draw whatever I want on it. By the time the meet comes around though, my car won't look like it does now. Super secret summer shenanigans starting soon.

I just thought of one positive side to something that large: I'm pretty sure road salt isn't going to corrode your body. LOL

for anyone who doesnt know, The Allante body was designed and assembled by italian carrozzeria Pininfarina. Pininfarina has also had a hand in designing a few Fiats, Alfa Romeos,a buttload of Ferraris, some Lancias and a couple of Rolls Royces

    Those are cool looking!

Still wondering how the heck you're going to wire that mirror in, but hey - good luck. It'd be sweet.

I want to find a compass mirror eventually. I have a crappy little compass that I put on it but it only lights up when I push the button, and that's kinda pointless

it woulda been alot easier with the pigtail, which i kinda thought came with it. i forgot though that theyre attached to the vehicle and Ian would have needed his anyway. a junkyard trip and snip will fix that problem haha.

Thunderbird was dropped off at the body shop this morning before work. They'll have it until Wednesday. Until then I have the bestest car EVAR as a rental. 2011 Camry. Meh...
