no its a paint job. the guy who is doing it is doing it "on the side" so hes paying materials etc out of pocket instead of using the shops materials. down payment is to pay for materials and incentive to prioritize my car

I didn't change it, but fixing the exhaust leak quieted it down considerably. I don't like it. It'll get changed as soon as it's financially feasible.

I saw a Caprice SS (Impala SS whatever) with a magnaflow, and I what I had to believe were sewer pipe headers. It was LOUD. It sounded good.

Probably an LT1. Mine, to me anyway, isn't loud enough. It's also got a magnaflow, but it's also a single pipe setup (why someone paid all that money for headers and full stainless piping, yet still only went with single pipe, is beyond me).

what size are your headers? headers are where you get the sound. headers into an Xpipe (for some resonance). some states don't allow headers though.

Florida just plain doesn't care. I don't even have cats.

I'm not sure what size they are, like I said they were on the car before I got it. I can go measure them, though.

ha, IL doesnt care either. If your car is not throwing codes, you are golden.

except, I guess you have a 92, you would actually have to schedule an appointment for a dyno emissions test.

Re: What did you do to your car today?

Nope, no codes. The AIR pump has been deleted too. I'm guessing the previous owner had a PCM tune done to stop the light from coming on (I know the light works, so it isn't like he was ghetto and pulled the bulb lol).

No emissions testing here or vehicle inspection of any kind. Florida is great in that respect.

Headers are 1 2/3" according to my measurement and math. lol
