On that note, it's been an awful long time since we heard from him last.

Re: What did you do to your car today?

Filled mine up twice today; was on empty, so I needed a fill up before heading to Portland to see my girlfriend and meet her family for the first time. Decided to top it off when I came home since gas in Salem is cheaper than in Independence or Corvallis. Averaged 27 MPG on the round trip with the cruise set at 71 MPH on I-5. Pretty damn good for a big car with a V8. So at current gas prices, it costs me about $15 to go see the gf.

Re: What did you do to your car today?

A summary of the last few days:

    - Had the rear hatch glass uninstalled. It literally took 5 minutes and the shop didn't even charge me, just asked I come back when it's to be reinstalled, which I will.
    - Disassembled the hood.
    - Took measurements of the seats and sliders so a mounting bracket can be made.
    - Took the power steering pump to be rebuilt, as my efforts to find a replacement were futile! The power steering pump is the LAST major mechanical item that needs a looking at. The engine should start up next week!

Going to package and ship the hatch, hood, and window regulators later today.

Re: What did you do to your car today?

Ok, so, the box is finished, its heavy as hell and is a pain in the ass to put into and take out of the car. oh well, once its in for good its noot coming out.

Hooked it all up and hit a roadblock and possible disappointment. The positive terminal on one of the amps is seized. and the bolt is now stripped. I hooked everything else up and tried holding the positive cable to the amp but it seems as though the amp itself might be bad too. im hoping its just because the cable itself isnt hooked up properly. this was the subwoofer amp.

Tested the 4 channel infinity amp, the one i actually expected to be bad, and it worked perfectly

Also, never got the car to the paintbooth, forgot i had to put the hardtop on first. got that done last night, dropping it off tonight hopefully!
