Took it out of winter storage

Then headed straight to the dealer for some maintenance work under warranty. Got an oil change, new wiper blades, new microfilter, and a vehicle inspection done.

Just finished ghetto-rigging my heated and cooled seats back into operation by bending a pin to make proper contact with a BURNT connector. Thanks, GM!

Re: What did you do to your car today?

started on rust removal on the front doors. the winter salt being stuck against the previously rusty doors really rusted the bottoms. nothing eaten through yet, but some spots are really bad. passengers door has rust spots from the inside to the outside where the sheetmetal folds over at the bottom. I wish the prev owners would have actually washed out the doorjambs. would have saved me a headache

havent done anything today. going to call around and try to get some paint estimates again. Does anyone know of a white metallic that isnt pearl? I saw one of the new ford edges with a metallic white that didnt look pearly. I really liked that color. preferably a really bright metallic white

Some of the newer Caddies have a less pearly white, its more like a standard white with metallic sparkles in it.

Re: What did you do to your car today?

Yea white diamond tri-coat is a three stage paint which is what makes it so expensive. Cadillac also had a weird color called white lightning for a while that had tinges of yellow in it, but I think it was also three stage (and a temporary replacement for white diamond).
