    What's a California Duster?

Edit: Never mind, found it. These things work, huh?

Yep. I'd even say the interior duster is more epic...

I had the privilege of using all kinds of fancy car care products when I was working at an autobody shop through high school. Personally, I never found the California Duster to be anything special. Seems to me it's easily replaceable by other products.

One product that I find irreplaceable, however, is the California Water Blade. Awesome product, long lasting and it gets the annoying job done quickly and perfectly.

I use a water blade on my windows after washing, but I don't trust it nearly enough to use on the paint.

The exterior duster I only use in the spring with pollen or dust. I use the interior duster every day and keep 1 in each of my cars. I only use interior cleaner for caked on dirt or grime or mud. The interior duster cleans everything else, even footprints on the TC seat backs...

The water blade definitely has potential to royally mess things up if it's not used correctly, or even more common - just not taken care of, especially when stored. Though I suppose the same thing could be said for a chamois.

If it's used correctly, it's a great way to dry without accumulating swirls, excessive rubbing, streaks, etc. We used it on everything from showcar classics to rental cars. Loved it.

Re: What did you do to your car today?

Spent about 5 hours detailing my black ES350.

First time playing with a Porter Cable random orbital.

After wash and claybar and wash, started with an orange cutting pad and Menzerna Intensive Polish, which
    removes swirls and fine scratches.
Then wiped off with microfiber towels, switched to a medium white pad, and used Klasse All in One,
    which is a cleaner/polish.

Wiped off as before, and finished with Klasse High Gloss Sealer Glaze. Amazing stuff, goes on like a
urethane, and gives what I hope will be a tough coat.

The paint was in great shape before I started, so the improvements aren't night and day.
What I was trying to accomplish was a more durable finish.

We shall see .... sorry, no pics, I was too busy working.

It won't damage your paint as long as you cleaned the car thoroughly and it's not hard water.

Yeah, the California water blade is definitely worth the price of ownership. However, I wasn't convinced the California Duster was the way to remove pollen, I just washed it off then was the the car and water bladed and toweled the car dry.

After reading positive reviews about California water blade, I just purchased one from Amazon! I have been using California duster for awhile and I am happy with it. Hope this water blade be as handy as the duster.
