Replaced a coolant bypass hose on the Eldorado (set a low coolant code so I had to find the leak). Replaced the Throttle Position Sensor and Idle Control module, too, since I was there.

Changed my halos from CCFL to Ultra Bright LEDs and I don't like them. They're brighter, yes, but they're no longer color matched to the rest of my bulbs. I'm running 8000k for high, low, and fogs. The CCFLs were special order 8000k so the matched. The LEDs look like 4 or 5000K. I'll leave them in for a while to see if I get used to them.

Yea I really liked your CCFLs. For most things I always like the latest technology, which in lighting is LED... but for the halos CCFL just seems to fill out the circle more nicely and evenly.

Yeah me, too. But the CCFLs/ballasts couldn't handle the cold - replaced both ballasts this winter and they still don't fire everytime below 30 degrees. Since the Eldo is primarily inclement weather car now I figured I'd give the LEDs a try. We'll see how they last???

Washed, clay barred, polished and added a coat of sealant to the Town Car today. It's not as nice as new, but for a car with 199,000 miles it's frackin' mint...

Finally got a plate to go on the front of the Roadmaster. I was tired of looking at the plain grey tag holder.

    Today? Nothing. Yesterday, however...

Replaced the rear shocks with a used set out of a 2001 STS with 78K miles. 100 day warranty, $50 each! Pretty good deal, I think.
