I sold that car in 1999. It was a reluctant sale, I needed the money to make a real estate investment which did extremely well for me but I really miss that car and my current one has yet to fill the void. The good news is that my current car is in better shape than what I started out with the last time. It isn't going to be a Candy color this time as my taste has changed and I like low key colors more. The color it is being painted is a Ford color called Dark Shadow Grey metallic. Same color that was on my supercharged '04 Mach 1.

Another update. Bodywork has begun and the car should be painted by Sunday:

She's progressing pretty quickly. Also, I really like those wheels on the Mach 1. Were those factory? I don't think I've ever seen them before.

The wheels on the Mach didn't come with the car but they were factory wheels found on Anniversary '03 Cobra's.

Well it finally got painted. I only stuck around till the 1st base coat was put on but you get the idea. After the clear coat is done it will be wet sanded tomorrow.

Lookin good so far. Are the body guys going to do the door jambs and such as well? When I did my Parisienne I removed the trunk lid, hood, fenders and such but I did a color change too - (deeper blue) - when it was done you couldn't tell too easily it wasn't the factory color.

    Love that Olds :-)

What's up Jake? Yeah the jambs and under the hood/trunk are done too. Certain things I wanted to get done did not get done because I need to get the car out of my shop. The wait for the cowl induction hood is 4-6 weeks and I would have liked to put the motor/trans in first but I'll get to it next week. The guys painting the car are good friends and if anyone around the Tampa, Florida area needs a good paint job at a damn good price I can hook you up with these guys.

Bet you can afford it. I'm getting all this done for under $1k. That is a crazy price and it included all bodywork , paint and wet sanding.

    Holy sh*t really?

No. No no. Don't tempt me. I'm redoing my suspension first. Paint is next year, damn it!

    God that's tempting though....
