The "Post a desktop screenshot" thread
An idea from the last computer thread. I'll start with a Windows screenshot. I'll post a Linux one tonight when I'm on it.

Re: The "Post a desktop screenshot" thread
That's close to how I ran Vista. Except I can't get used to the taskbar on the side. I've tried it but it's so odd to me.
Guess that's what I get for being a regular windows user ever since I was... like 5? lolEveryone needs a wagon.

Re: The "Post a desktop screenshot" thread
Yeah, it took a while for me as well.
I find it convenient as the Windows task bar got thicker with Vista/7 and widescreen computers became pretty much standard. To me, this utilizes the extra side space provided by widescreen resolutions and gives more vertical space for scrolling documents and webpages. I like my browser and apps to extend from the top of the screen to the bottom.
And no, I can't deal with autohiding the taskbar. Never could.

Re: The "Post a desktop screenshot" thread
Auto hide is terrible. I learned to hate it in windows 98 when sometimes it just wouldn't work, and you had to click and drag the bar back up manually all the time to get back to the shit you wanted.
Since then, just couldn't use it. Bad memories. lol
I'll post some pics of my other desktops. Mine rotates, and I actually LIKE the Windows themes (I don't consider myself a "power user" or not your typical one, so I don't mind sacrificing a little performance for visual flair)Everyone needs a wagon.

Re: The "Post a desktop screenshot" thread
So how do you post a pic of your desktop, other than taking out the camera and taking a picture.

Re: The "Post a desktop screenshot" thread
Hit the "Print Screen" (or Prnt Scrn) button then paste the picture into paint, and upload to imageshack or photobucket.

I have an '83 for sale right now if anyone's interested. It's in Arizona on my 3/4 acre oceanfront lot which is also for sale. Buy both and I'll throw in a DVD rewinder for FREE!

Re: The "Post a desktop screenshot" thread
I have several photos of the Boeing 787 and 747-8 in flight rotating on my desktop, but these two are my favorites:

Normally I have the Dock hidden, unless I move the mouse to the bottom of the screen.
