Anyways, I suppose you're wondering why I dug up a post that's about a month old, well I've got more pics from the year's last Cars And Coffee car show!

    F355 Spyder.

Paging LS1 Mike! The thing was practically mint!

Call me a tool, but I still think this is Toyota's best car to date (not counting Lexus.....or Scion )

Maybe Orconn knows what kind of Jaguar this is. I don't know Jags at all.

    More british weirdness! Lotus Europa.

Look at how small it is compared to that XJS!

    Lotus Espreee!

I didn't know they made these in red, I thought they were all black.

    Christopher Lloyd would be proud!

15 years in the progression of the mid engined V8 powered Ferrari.

I love the shade of blue that F355 was in. Is that what they call Azure?

The saddle colored interior is to die for too.

    Gallardo!

'80s Aston Martin V8 Vantage Volante (correct? The only badging I saw on the car was Volante)

Gorgeous interior! Look at that shifter! It's all so elegantly designed and wonderfully built.

The first Panamera I saw in real life.

    40 years of Camaro progression:

These C3's are really starting to grow on me. This must have been a '75-77 because it didn't have the huge rear window that debuted in '78, but it had the L82 engine (205hp!!), which was available from '75 on. Also, the speedometer on this one read up to 150, not 85 like in the later models.

    1989 TTA.

A better pic of that GLH.

'69 Charger Daytona pulled in as I was leaving. Jesus I forgot how huge these are!

A whole different sort of European exotic! Jesda, I think I see one of these in your future, provided you can handle it!

I saw this real nice '79 Mark V Bill Blass Edition later on yesterday, so I had to pull over and snap a few pics. The '79 Bill Blass is my favorite Mark V in terms of color and design, but I hate how the '79s only had that lethargic 159hp 400. The 460 was SUCH a superior engine.

Chad, the black Jaguar roadster is a XK120 from the late 1940's early '50s. Strange to see it on display with its' top up and side curtains in place. The red car next to it is a early E-type, can't tell the series from the segment shown in the picture.

Re: Cars and Coffee. Minneapolis's most exclusive monthly car show.

The interior orangy color of the F355 Ferrari's leather interior used to be know as "Tobac" to the Ferrari factory and "Baby Cack" to the officianado crowd. It goes very well with the dark blue exterior and has become one of the preferred Italian supercar leather interior colors. As for the dark blue metallic it could very well be called "Azure" as many of the Bentley "Azure" dropheads running around L.A. in the 1990's were done in this beautiful dark blue, which fit the Bentley's lines perfectly.

Thanks, Chad for sharing the great pictures of this event!

Re: Cars and Coffee. Minneapolis's most exclusive monthly car show.

A friend from high school owns a white Typhoon. I think only the lesser seen Syclone came only in black.

I flirted with the idea of buying a Yugo just for S&Gs a couple months back. Figured my money would be better off elsewhere. Pretty funny that the ad described it as having "the BIG 1.3L engine."

Oh, and the same guy (Giorgetto Guigiaro) designed the DeLorean and Yugo.

Re: Cars and Coffee. Minneapolis's most exclusive monthly car show.

I finally made it to a Cars And Coffee show again.

One of the first new-style XJ's I've seen in real life. Beautiful.

Testarossa! This thing is WIIIIDE! Of course, with a 6.0 liter flat-12, I suppose it'd have to be.

    348TS.

F430. This is pure sex on wheels.

Alfa Romeo 8C Competitizione. All yours for $239,900.

One of the first new-style 7 Series I've seen. While very nice, I think the XJ looks better.

    928.

My god. I do not want to do any work on one of these at any point in my life.

Really neat '80s era Alfa Romeo 5 door hatchback. I bet Orconn would know all about this.

    428-equipped '67 Ford Galaxie 500 Hardtop Coupe.

    I love this badge.

    Lotus Evora.

    '64 Cadillac Fleetwood.

    '70 Cougar Eliminator.

    PORSCHE CARRERA GT.

    Mint GLH-S.

    '69 Mach 1- 428 powered.

'84 Regal T-Type. I love the licence plates.

Chad, The Alfa is a Milano. I think they were a 4 door sedan, not a 5 door hatch. They came out in the mid-ish 80's. Now there's a car for Jesda and his fascination with peculiar cars.

The new Jag XJ is sex on wheels. In FL they're starting to be everywhere, same with the new 7-Series BMW and the Porsche Sedan. Where's the new Bentley Mulsanne?

Re: Cars and Coffee. Minneapolis's most exclusive monthly car show.

Yeah, the Alfa sedan in your picture, Chad, is a Alfa 75 marketed in this country as the "Milano." This was Alfa's last model designed and produced prior to Alfa Romeo being taken over by FIAT. As Bro Ham said the car was a four door sedan and not a hatchback. Among Alfisti the "Milano" stilll has a strong following. The car was highly successful in Euro sedan racing displaying all the "good" traits that Alfas have become well known for among officiados. The "Milano/75" , which was rear wheel drive, was produced with various engine/trans configurations between 1985 and 1992.

The "Milanos" styling was rather controversial. I personnaly didn't like the way it looked. There was a story that body work was hard to do on the car because the black beltline, which was turned slightly up around the rear door made it seem the car was bent in the middle. I have no doubt that the model was a lot of fun to drive but it was a little small for the American market. The Alfa 164 which came out in 1989 was a much better entry in the executive car market combining a larger size, excellent build quality and driving dynamics with an outstanding Pininfarina body design. As I have said before, I owned a 164S for 10 years and still consider that car the best car I have ever owned.
