It was 76* today, it's only been a few weeks, but I forgot how awesome top-down driving is.... it went down to 71* now :-( I may go drive around some more.

The last rotation was done at the dealer a loooong time ago, that's out of my jurisdiction. The right rear tire has an air leak though (was at 12psi at the time of that pic), so I'll have the alignment checked when I take it to the tire shop soon. Might get the tires filled with nitrogen at the dealer too.

The inside of the left rear tire appears to be worn past the tread... usually camber out of limits would cause that.

Also, if those tires are in fact directional, then one of the rear ones is on the wrong side, which would mean one of the front ones is too... the center tread pattern is not in the same direction between the two tires in that picture.

Man, all those pictures of snow-covered, salt-eaten cars.....

thats the biggest thing I enjoy about not being in NY, none of those winters, a cars age is not determined by how much rust it has down here.

Yes, It's the 460. It's got some surprising features for a car of that age.
    Factory dual exhaust
    factory 4 wheel disc brakes
    factory power lumbar support
    factory umbrealla
    factory tool kit
factory space saver spare w/ original Ford aerosol can
digital 'miles to empty' digital readout. can't believe how fast this thing falls.

I was using this as a daily driver for a couple of weeks while my Brougham was in for repairs, and it ended up costing me over $150/week in gas.
Sorry I don't have any other pictures of it, I just put it into storage for the winter last night.

Re: Candid pictures of our cars.

The Mark IV and V Lincolns are some of my favorite luxury cars of all time. I will own one at some point. I'd love a D.J. Edition '78, because it was the most well equipped Lincoln built up to that point, and they were extremely rare, and still had the 460. The Collector's Edition '79 Mark V had a better color scheme IMO (triple navy blue, velour interior), and has most of the features of the Diamond Jubilee Edition, but in 1979, Lincoln only had the 400, and they were S-L-O-W. So yeah, I'd take the Diamond Jubilee Edition....but would I go with the Jubilee Gold or Diamond (real light grey/blue) Blue?

Although I also really like the color scheme on the '79 Bill Blass Edition (two tone navy blue & white exterior, white full cloth top with white leather seats). Too bad they only had the 400. Although the 1977 Bill Blass edition might have the best color combo out of any of the "special edition" Mark V's (Navy blue with a dark tan top, dark tan leather interior and dark tan side accent stripe), it lacks the over the top amenities of the Diamond Jubilee and Collector's Editions, so I still think I like the DJ edition the most.

The blind spot mirrors would be more effective if placed at the outter ends of the mirrors, also allowing you to see the lines on the ground and where your tires are as you back into a spot.
