My two fords have those wonky round seedometers. They're no fun. I mean, what's the point of even having a speedometer if you hit top speed and make the needle disappear.

I knew that little screw up on my part would open a can of worms.

No worries. The first time I drove the Pontiac it had no interior, no useful gauges, mostly no paint, no side windows and only one door.

I kinda like my old school speedometer. It's definitely a throwback....I have to wonder why they did away with the horizontal speedometers like that....probably because nowadays people like more instrumentation. It took me a bit to get used to the indicators being the 5 digits, not the 10's as in 90% of the other cars on the road.... for example, 65 MPH is highlighted instead of 60, etc.

I love how "55" on my 83 lesabre's speedo is orange and it only goes to 85. Same with my caddys speedo. I guess the thinking was that if the speedo numbers stop at 85, that people won't go faster then that?

My Cadillac has a Speedometer AND a fuel gauge. Honestly, I do not see why you would want anything more.

I've got this friend though and she's really into Buicks, which is a recurring cause of hilarity among friends of ours...

That's what I had in my Citation. Which was perplexing because it was a manual. Shift on sound and feel, I guess...

^That is how shifting is supposed to be.

Also, that sentence is very easy to take out of context
