Mildly eccentric. She does not however fit in this parking space, but it is a cool angle. Bonus points, because if you look closely, two of my cars are here.

Went out on a beer run this afternoon and stumbled across a real nice '79 Mark V Bill Blass Edition.

Lined them up nose to nose....

And the Mark V is still significantly longer than the Marauder.

The Marauder's hood pales in comparison to the Mark V's.

That is a sweet lookin' Mark! My two favorite colors are blue and white so the Blass has always been a hit with me. That co-ordinates nicely with the Marauder, I think you better buy it!

Re: Candid pictures of our cars.

I have never liked the Mark V's. One may even go so far as to say I particularly despise them and would happily see one destroyed. However, in one case and one case only, I make the exception. Something about the Bill Blass ones looks right and turns it around completely. I would [almost] drive one, if I found one for the right price. It's weird, because out of all of the Mark IV designs, the Bill Blass one does not (IMO) look nearly as impressive as the Mark V, in spite of my actual liking of the Mark IV. It's weird though, because I am not so sure I would choose a Bill Blass Mark IV, aside from it's collectivity, in spite of how similar my blue/white Mark IV looks to it, now that I think about it. I guess it's the whole thing with the partial vs full vinyl tops. I will say though (Again, IMO) Cadillacs never looked good with partial tops, but Lincolns often looked better with them than full, but the Mark IV looked better with a full top.

I think the Mark Vs are love 'em or hate 'em. I personally really like them. There are better looking Mark generations, but I think that each one is attractive in its own way. (And some aren't attractive at all.) The Mark V has this 'super-seventies' boat look to it. I'd bet that rolling down the street in a Mark V in 1977 drew some pretty cool looks.

    ----------

I snapped a picture of my humble interior. Swoopy. I kind of wanted to show you my little touch with the stereo. The tiny little black spot just to the upper-left of the stereo is my remote bass knob. Fairly easy mod with a really cool custom look, and a whole hell of a lot easier to reach than putting it on the bottom of the dash. Why doesn't everyone keep their interiors this clean?

I ended up sticking my bass controller on the back-left side of my lower center console. It doesn't attract thieves but it's a bit odd to stick my arm back there.

Ideally, I'd have a nicer head unit with easy to use sub controls on the front face.

Before and during mowing the grass for the first time this year. The front was barely long enough to cut.

Nice composition, this one dose a better job of showing off the cool color of your car! The other two the blue tinge washed out to silver more. Very nice!

Re: Candid pictures of our cars.

Thanks for the compliment Dave. I don't think pictures do the color justice. I remember when I found the car online (before looking at it in person) I thought the color looked nice. But then when I went to test drive it the color looked much more attractive in person then I remembered in the pictures. I also think the color looks good with the chrome wheels and door pillars. The pillars practically blend in with the color so much I often forget they aren't part of the paint job. You're right, now that I look at the pics again it does look very silvery in the rear view picture.
