    A little history lesson

I'm into old stuff. Mainly because that's what I can afford.
I do appreciate history you can hold in your hands.

    1942 Russian Mosin-Nagant model 1891/30

    1945 Russian Mosin-Nagant model M44

This one is a true WWII bring back. It's undocumented, but until I took ownership it had been in my Grandfather's footlocker since he came back from France. 1922 French model 1892 Ordanance revolver

    A little more modern.
    Norinco SKS

I've got a Czech CZ52, along with some assorted old (late 1800's) shotguns a couple of modern muzzle loaders, a Bulgarian Makarov, and the newest, a Taurus PT945. This is an interesting thread.

If you own a Colt or Ruger or any knockoff .45 Colt SA revolver and you want to raise some eyebrows at the local pistol range, load up 50 rounds of Long Colt .45 with 35 or 40 grains of old DuPont FFFg black powder behind a 250 grain lead flatnose.

Guaranteed to command attention. Hot water and soap to clean.

Anybody can spray lead and copper from an autoloader, just like in the movies. Very few can nail you with one shot as in "Run out 30 yards and cut a hard left.....".

Sub! Do you remember Sheriff Ed Mcgivern of Lewistown, Montana? Six shots at 15 feet into a half dollar sized target in 0.45seconds, two times in a row. He was a Smith & Wesson M&P kinda guy.

dkoz, used to do some quick draw, but the neck surgery slowed me down. Still pretty good offhand.

The left pic is all 45 and 38 wheelguns. Bottom (upside down) is a model 1917 S&W DA .45ACP Army issued to my grandfather.
Center is 36 and 44 cap & ball. The lower right gun (upside down) is an original Colt 36 1851 Navy, NRA Excellent.
Right is a matched pair of Second generation .45LC Peacemakers, 1961, Set #3/500, Pony Express Commemorative East and West legs. Unfired.
(The Pony Express never carried Peacemakers; they had 1851 .36 Colts.)

I usd to do a little pistol work. I set the course record when I qualified with the 1911 Colt on the Marine expert course at NWS Concord, Ca. The marines stationed there never lived it down. What made it worse was I used an armory weapon I grabbed off the rack. I had just come off 24 hr. duty, I hadn't slept for two days, and I was wired on about twenty cups of coffee.

    Re: Post Your Weapons

No idea what the hell I'm going to do with them because I don't have the cash to build any extra rifles, but I just picked these up for a good price from the new local gun store.

Superior Arms, built in trigger overtravel set screw. Pretty sweet.
