Big problems with the Typhoon class submarines?

Sure, the Ekranoplan never went into service, and was for the most part, useless, but damnit it looks cool!

A 5.62 Gatling will put 5 rounds through a light bulb before you see it start to break. That's correct - Gatling, as in post Civil War "Gatling".

In the 1st Virginia Grays, a North-South Skirmish Assoc. unit, Jack Rawl (Smithsonian Institution curator) and his Confederates had a .45-70 Gatling, doughnut magazine fed, that had a cyclic rate of just under 600 rounds a minute. Not bad for a late 1860's hand-cranked machine gun. Exactly the same principle as our modern high speed wheelguns.
AC-130 has a 105mm howitzer with the barrel cut off. The Radar fire control system can track the first round on the way to the target, have corrections computed, and a second round on the way before the first hits. Older AC-130s have a 40mm Bofors as well. Latest versions use one or more 30mm Mk44 Bushmasters because all the ammunition for 40mm has been expended and parts are hard to find. There are also some with a 25mm like a Bradley and multiple 20mm Gatlings.

At any rate the 7.62 NATO round > 5.56 or the 7.62x39. JMO

    OOP! My mistake fellas!

I agree- the AK is FAR less accurate than the AR. Both are great weapons though!

I hope to get an AR or 2 some day. For now I will have fun shooting my AK!

Yeah but they didn't have to hold that when they fired it. (ooowww my right hand )

Those 350 grain 1900fps Hornady rounds had some serious punch when fired. The friends I went with fired two of them and said that was enough.

    Re: Post Your Weapons

I fired my new J frame today and OUCH. I know it's no 500 magnum but 357 magnum loads out of a 12 ounce piece with that short barrel is punishing. I shot 10 rounds with both hands and two rounds each with dominant and non-dominant hands. Afterward my hands were shaking like a dog trying to crap a tennis ball.

    I like it.
The above post is my 2 cents....nothing more.

I thought the saying was shaking like a coon dog crapping razor blades or a hound dog shittin' shingle nails.

I've always heard like a dog trying to crap a peach seed. But tennis ball seems like it would induce more shaking.
